Good job
My cat Xoey was taken to the vet for stomach upset. The vet checked her, prescribed medicine and sent us home. I was told by the vet admin. that they will take care of notifying Trupanion. I was stressed out and did not even realize that everything was taken care of by the vet and Trupanion without me having to fill up forms or anything when I got an email from Trupanion and a letter in the mail the same week. Appreciate that!

Missy has very serious allergies and a narrow throat her last visit was stomach issues. They have been wonderful in helping to take care of her issues. She is my life thanks Trupanion for being there for us.

No hassle, exactly as promised
Healthy Paws fulfilled their contract ($1300) with no hassle. First time submitting a claim and still only took a few days. Called after asking the vet to fax history to hp, they had not received it but the rep offered to do something previously unexperienced by me. They took ownership of the scenario and offered to call my get to get that history themselves. It seems like a small thing, but not having to play middle man between an insurance company and a service provider is amazing. Between customer service and straight forward fufillment of terms, I wish my insurance was run by the folk at healthy paws. We rescued two starved and mistreated huskies as our first dogs because we love black diamond difficult challenges. There is a lot we can control, but there are a few things we cannot. It's nice to be able to offer pets that have had a hard road so far a much higher quality of life, while knowing you have the support needed if things don't go exactly as planned. Thank you healthy paws!

Caring, easy and efficient!
After much research, I decided to go with Healthy Paws. I liked the different plans to choose from and the positive reviews. We adopted our greyhound on the 29th of November, 2014. I started the insurance in May, thinking it would "hopefully" be a long time before I ever had to use it since Gracie was only 4. Well, unfortunately, I have already had to file two claims!! The first was in August for a painful backside for which she was given some pain meds, so that went towards my $250.00 deductible. Then, on September 9th, she vomited blood!! We rushed her to the E-Vet where numerous tests were done. It was reassuring to know that I didn't have to worry about how much it might all cost. The doctors and I could just concentrate on what was wrong with my sweet Gracie and how best to treat her. The diagnosis was a bleeding stomach ulcer. She spent the night and was given IV fluids, several meds and monitored all night. The bill was almost 1200.00. The Healthy Paw's app makes filing a claim so easy! You take a picture of the invoice and send it right to them. I recieved a check in the mail a few days ago! I am so thankful that my sweet girl is feeling better and that I don't have to worry about having a big visa bill. I was also quite pleased to receive an email from Healthy Paws asking how Gracie was feeling and wishing her well!! It was unexpected and appreciated!! I wholeheartedly recommend them. You won't be disappointed!

Examination of illness of pet
Although, I very pleased with the Trupanion insurance coverage for my dog, I don't understand when you take your dog in to the vet for an illness, why the examination of said dog is not covered. How else can the vet do the diagnosis and decide what to do for the animal?

Insurance with a caring personal touch
the people that one deals with are very friendly and caring. There is a high level of Personal service. For a dog owner that is somewhat tech savvy, the website is somewhat confusing especially the Claims section. I am still trying to get used to it. But they must realize it and give me very personal service which I appreciate. Sign up was very easy.

My pet has had allergies through the year of allergy I told her vet do anything you need to do. I had full confidence that experience are not issue for her treatment. It's all over now she is healthy. Trupanion gives me and my dog peace of mind that at any time she needs attention money is not our concern oly her well being.
