Payment Policy
The coverage seems fair, and competitive with other plans. But, buyer beware, they only accept automatic deduction payments from your checking account or from a credit card, and they offer NO way to change the date of the auto-deduct. If you call Customer Service (even with plenty of time ahead of your payment date), they will advise that the day of the month that you started your policy will forever be your auto-deduct date. NO exceptions, and there is NO way to request another date instead. So, if your auto-deduct is on the 3rd of the month, and that is hard for you to manage with rent, etc., there is no way to request the auto-deduct at a different time in the month. Currently, I feel TRAPPED. I explained that due to a medical emergency, my funds were a little low, but with my next paycheck, I can easily cover the premium amount. All I asked for was a 2-day delay of payment. I was told this is impossible. That does not convey good customer service to me, and may be something you want to consider when comparing plans.

Great experience
Took my puppy to the ER twice in about two months. Filed both visits with Trupanion. I had a great experience with this entire process. I am so happy I signed up for insurance for my dog and I am grateful for the efficient and diligent work that was done by the employees of this company!

Embrace Is Highly Recommended
When I adopted my doxie, the first thing I did was research pet insurance. I found Embrace and took out wellness and illness policies. Fortunately, I have not had to use the illness coverage, but I use the wellness every year and recovery most of, if not all, the money that I pay into the policy. The staff is friendly to talk to and eager to answer questions and the reimbursements are easy to file and quick to pay out. I will never have another dog without Embrace Pet Insurance. (I filled out the rest of the form, but have NEVER HAD A CLAIM FOR ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT.)

Back to normal
First of all I had hoped never to use the Embrace policy we purchased to cover our dog. Chloe our Chihuahua-Italian Greyhound mix broke her front leg in August. The break required surgery with insertion of metal plate and screws.Very expensive procedure with many follow up visits over eight weeks. Embrace settled the claim promptly and without hassle. Chloe is back to her normal self . Thanks Embrace

Great insurance, excellent service
I have had my insurance on my 2 dogs for over 7 years and was hoping never to have to use it but August 14th, my male mini doxie was ill. ASPCA pet insurance has been wonderful--claims were processed timely and I love the new direct deposit--no waiting for mailed payments. I also liked the friendly follow-up by Bob on 10/5. I have nothing but good things to say about your company.

Outstanding Customer Service and Timeliness
We've been treating our dog for a mammary tumor that has encompassed three different doctors, a surgery, and follow on medication and treatment. The turnaround time for the claims has been excellent as in just one month, we accumulated roughly $3,000 over medical bills which 80% is funded back to us. Highly recommended and great options provided for deciding how much coverage we wanted for our rescue dog.

Acute Renal Failure in Beagle covered
I am so grateful to the Embrace staff and that I had coverage for my beagle, who developed renal failure after NSAID treatment. The renal failure was caught quickly and treated promptly and my reimbursement was expedient.

Embrace-A BIG hug of insurance for your 'babies'!
When I hear the word 'insurance', my eyes glaze over, I get nauseous, dread future billing 'issues' and ultimately put my fingers in my ears and say, 'lalalalala-I can't hear you!'. Thank the heavens that this old dog CAN learn new tricks because Embrace changed all that for me. Their prices are competitive, their coverage is amazing, their reimbursement is quick and painless and their guest service far exceeds all expectations. They have provided constant security for myself and my cats' health(Alex and Runtly). I only have one complaint: neither of my babies has been awarded 'Pet of the Month' . Hmmmmm-I'm not sure why. One of these days it will happen. I guess I should consider submitting them; this may just be the crucial step I've forgotten.A lighthearted joke in a health insurance review? You KNOW Embrace must be incredible(they are!). Thank you! We all appreciate it....well except for the little one who the vet just put on a diet :(

VERY happy with Embrace
My Shih Tzu is 9 months old and I purchased Embrace insurance before I picked her up as a puppy. I spent a lot of time researching the different pet insurance options and reading reviews. While there are a few companies that look to be pretty highly rated overall, I selected Embrace – and I have been very happy. I decided to include a wellness plan as part of my illness plan since a pup’s first year of life has a lot of wellness visits, and the discount from these costs help offset the illness coverage. After each visit, I promptly received the wellness claim payment. Pup has been very healthy and, much to our surprise, tested for high liver enzymes when getting routine blood work for her spay surgery. We moved forward with recommended testing ($650) and a liver biopsy ($500). Since these were the first illness claims, I wasn’t sure how it would go. Embrace did not disappoint. Since I had already submitted her baseline medical records, the claims were reviewed and paid promptly (2 weeks). During these 2 weeks, I contacted customer support to ensure they had all the information they needed and the representative who took my call was very friendly, explained the “under review” process, and confirmed no action was needed by me. I highly recommend Embrace. It is insurance, you may need it, hopefully you will not. But if you do, it eases the financial burden an illness can create.
