I am very happy with the claims submission process. It's easy to email claims and the automated response notified me that they did receive it. The turn around time is pretty reasonable and I can keep an electronic record of my dogs claims in my email account.

Trupanion was prompt, professional and caring
Without the insurance, we would not have been able to afford to care for this expensive kitty! First he got his leg sliced up last year, then this time he ate an earplug and needed surgery. I am so happy that at a critical time, I did not have to be overly concerned with money over the medical needs of my beloved pet. Claims were paid promptly. Maybe it's silly to think this, but Trupanion really seems to care about pets!

Trupanion Termination Sales Pitch
Called to terminate my Trupanion insurance because they look for every possible way to not pay a claim. Was transferred to a very sweet sounding lady who went on and on for 10 minutes about why I should think twice about terminating my insurance. One of the most revealing things she said to me was in response to my statement about a $6000 bill our lab had for eating a small toy and blocked intestine. She did say that if that were to happen again, they might not pay because it might be a behavioral issue and they do insure against behavior issues. What the hell. Does she think labs don't eat or chew? Do they think eating and chewing are behavioral issues? Just confirms my decision to drop this worthless company.
