Would not recommend anyone get a policy from here. They won’t pay your claims. They’ll start off paying the first claim then won’t pay anymore and give excuses. Just save a little money every month and you’ll get it back 100% when you have to take your pet in. They shouldn’t even be able to use the word “insurance” because it’s not. It’s a flat out lie.

This company is a complete SCAM, they don’t answer the phone EVER, DON’T respond to emails after the first claim and deny EVERYTHING! Don’t bother falling for the bs advertising you see, it’s just that BS! They take you $ and tell you to read your EOB. Contact California Board of Insurance and NAPHIA to have them investigated so they can be shut down! They’re robbing people blind.

I should have read trustpilot before signing up. My biggest beef was that this company is impossible to reach! I had to call them to fix something on my policy. After many, many phone calls at various times during the day, I finally realized no one was ever going to answer. Each time you are told your call will be answered in 30 to 40 minutes, but at the end of 40 minutes the call disconnects. No customer service means a lot to me. There is 0 here.

Trupanion is our HERO!
I hope my dog, Bentley never needs the services of Trupanion, however, life happens and we have had coverage for our 2 dogs through Trupanion for many years. I like the advantages covered in their 90/10 program and it is worth every penny for the feeling I get knowing my dog will never have to suffer because I can't afford to pay for a sick visit during my retirement. Our dog got sick with nausia and throwing up for no apparent reason. We got in as soon as we called and my vet filed with Trupanion before we ever left the Vet. We knew by the following day what we owed and what Trupanion paid. We were more than pleased with the amount covered.

The service representative that I talked to was very knowledgeable. She was able to guide me through everything very friendly. I did get disconnected from her and she called me back, which I thought was extremely nice.
