the effective day is 10 days after sign up. my dog got into a fight and got a minor punctuation through her ear 3 days after sign up and therefore the insurance won't cover it

One of our cats was really sick!
One of our cats was sick, spent 3 days in the ICU and we racked up some bills for sure. I had forgotten I had this insurance. I submitted and was reimbursed within 24 hours. Trupanion did what they said they would do.

Felt pressured to buy it
Felt pressured to buy it. I have had 5 pets and no pet insurance and never felt I needed it. I thought I could terminate in a month or so but your site hides that information from us. Absolutely will never advise anyone to buy this. Poor customer service in hiding information on how to terminate.
