Trupanion is terrible
Trupanion is just like any human insurance company. When someone gets sick, they look for ways not to pay.

My dog has new legs thanks to Trupanion!
At one and a half years of age, my American Bulldog tore one of her cranial cruciate ligaments; the second one tore 6 months later, at which time both required surgical repair. A TPLO surgery costs around $3000-$4000 at most orthopedic specialists. Without Trupanion, I have no idea where I would have gotten the money to give my dog this much needed treatment. Thanks to her coverage, she had both legs repaired by a trustworthy specialist. I didn't have to price shop, or put off treating her problem due to lack of funds. Because her surgeries were largely covered, I was able to put my money towards a rehabilitation and physio therapy program, to ensure that her legs healed as well as they possibly could. Trupanion has continued to cover my dog's joint supplements, which she will be taking for life. This same dog also has ongoing skin allergies, and she suffers from urinary incontinence. She's a true lemon, but I love her. My dogs will never have to go without medical care, regardless of my bank account, thanks to their Trupanion policies. Obtaining pet insurance was the best decision I could have made when I got dogs!

Excellent service
We just ended our first year of pet insurance. We chose Embrace because we could customize our coverage for our four cats and because of Embrace's reputation with our vets. The staff is quick to respond to questions, and we had many. Embrace is strict about determining pre-existing conditions, which has been a bit frustrating, but reasonable in setting a time period for them to disappear. We have had one claim for an injury in December that was just processed accurately. We expect a check shortly. We suggest requesting a medical review when coverage begins to expedite any claims later so Embrace has already reviewed the original information from the vet.

Courteous, Efficient Service
Our pup recently visited the vet for a vaccination booster and then visited for another vaccination booster and a sick visit - a total of three claims. The vet submitted the forms on both occasions and, for the second visit, submitted both wellness and sick visits together. Embrace sent an email to me and politely told us that wellness and sick visits should be submitted separately. On reading that sentence in the email, I sighed, figuring that I would have to resubmit. But to my surprise, the email continued by telling me that Embrace separated the claims, and I would receive separate emails for each claim. I didn't have to resubmit anything. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that makes paperwork easy. All three claims were handled promptly. Kudos Embrace!

Christmas Eve Chaos
Trupanion was amazing! They answered my call and my questions on Christmas Eve. A representative called later to answer any addition questions. The claim was resolved in less than 10 days. I am so pleased with our choice of pet insurance.

SCOUT AND FLASH ARE DOING WELL...
I have both my Domestic American felines insured with Trupanion. I have been insured for about 8 years. Unfortunately, 2013 was the year where cat woes came in full force. I am extremely pleased with how Trupanion supported Scout and Flash during this time. Trupanion has been fair and supportive and provided me with much financial relief at a time when I needed it the most.
