Choosing coverage was difficult
The page for selecting coverage was confusing and difficult to use. I do generally struggle to make decisions, but my previous pet coverage was very intuitive and easy to decide on what I wanted. In this case, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting until clicking on 'coverage details' and I was printing that to then compare it to the other options. It felt like a lot of unnecessary back & forth. I saw there was a comparison link, but it didn't seem to always show exactly what I was choosing. For instance, it had checkmarks for the additional wellness benefits like spay/neuter/dental under the $450 coverage and I don't believe that is correct. I'm not sure if it was just glitched from all the changes I was making or what, but it definitely didn't give me any confidence in helping to guide my decision. It would also be nice if the comparison chart included the amounts for the wellness coverages like it does in the coverage details page. I'd like to add that it definitely took me way longer than I would like to admit choosing a plan simply because I kept getting confused about what exactly I'd have to pay out of pocket. It would be nice if the deductible amount was actually calculated into the accident and illness example amounts or it was at least shown under it with an asterisk to indicate that it could also cost that additional amount if it hasn't been paid through another claim already, because hopefully most dogs aren't having multiple accidents throughout the year. Anyway, if those things were improved, it would make the whole experience better. I did also have trouble just trying to retrieve my previous quote, so I had to start fresh instead. This actually happened twice. Thank you for trying to improve!

BETTER THAN EXPECTED!
"When my < older> kitty started slowing down, I researched pet insurance. Between client feedback & my knowledge of how insurance works, it was an easy choice over the other companies. Getting her set up was so easy, with great customer service when I had questions. She has a medical issue that requires monthly care & I know I can continue to take her to the vet with confidence for reimbursement. I was so thoroughly impressed with this company and even what they offered for well visits, even though my dog wasn't "old" yet, I decided to add him to the policy. When the first incident/injury happened 2 years ago, I filed the claim with zero expectation of how it would work or how it would be handled. This company is TRULY amazing. I feel they honestly care about me & my furbabies. They walked me through filing the claim, even though it really is pretty easy. I was quite impressed with how quickly they processed the claim, how thorough they were to follow through & even more so the reimbursement was better than expected. No hassle was given at all. I've worked with human insurance for over 3 decades, so I was not expecting the ease of the process. This year, he experienced another injury-totally unexpected. I went to the Vet Hospital with full confidence of the coverage and knew that Pet's Best had his back! And as expected, the process was so simple & quick. The process time was again, better than expected, as was the reimbursement. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to know that I don't have to worry about the cost of care in a moment like that and can give all of my attention & energy to my injured furbaby with full confidence. Exceeded Expectations!
Our dog had to have emergency surgery a few weeks ago and we were so worried about him. The one thing we didn’t have to worry about what paying for his care because we have Healthy Paws by Chubb for him. I was amazed at how quickly they reviewed my claim and paid on it though- they exceeded my expectations- we already received the reimbursement! With Trupanion for five years
I have been with Trupanion for five years. My tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had eye surgery in the early 2020s, and they paid the hospital 90% of her surgery bill (no deductible on my plan) immediately. I filed another claim for her ear infection late Friday night, and my 90% reimbursement (with zero deductible under my plan) was deposited into my bank account on Monday (direct deposit), a 2-day turnaround. Then I was reminded that in the future, I can pay my vet (a Trupanion member) 10% of the bill, and Trupanion will pay the vet the remaining amount immediately.
