Both of my dogs (A semi-retired Service Dog and a Service Dog In Training) have Embrace insurance. It is so nice to know that Embrace has my back. When my Service Dog started showing signs of having vision issues it was nice to know that he could see his vet and see a dog Ophthalmologist without breaking the bank. Turns out my now semi-retired SD had high eye pressure and three very small cataracts (all in the same eye). With purchasing my new puppy to start training the first thing I did was to purchase insurance for the puppy. With the wellness program I know that my puppy will receive all of her shots, be spayed when it is time and have regular checkups, plus much more. I love it.

Mailed my first claim to Pets Best on a Saturday and had a direct deposit reimbursement the following Thursday. The turnaround time is so quick and the claim form is easy to fill out. Just follow the instructions on the claim form when you file your claim and they quickly take care of the rest. Thank you for your prompt response!

Prompt service - wish the deductible were lower
I am very grateful to Embrace Pet Insurance in general - and to the customer-service claims Embracers. Amanda Collins acted so speedily and thoroughly on my most recent illness claim for one of my cats. However, being a lower-income person, a disabled senior, I wish I could afford to have a lower deductible. It's disheartening to have that $500 deductible amount, in terms of some of the ongoing health issues my rescued special-needs kitty is bound to have. That's just my life at this point. But at least the Wellness part of my pet insurance for that same kitty, for special diet food, is a big help throughout the year.

Speedy turn around
Fast claim turn around (as long as you submit claim form, itemized receipt from vet and copy of vet's record for your visit). Cost of premium is higher that VIP but coverage is much better, so I think it is worth it.

There were three things that were fundamental for me when looking for a dog insurance. First the monthly fee and deductible policy. Secondly the coverage, and third the customer satisfaction that implied the companies achievement of first two numerals. The monthly payments were a big deal for me, as I’m a student and I don’t have a high income. And comparing just by prices, Healthy paws was the most affordable option; in the many coverage, monthly fee and deductible combinations. In terms of coverage, healthy paw still seemed to have one of the most complete coverage if not the best. And I dedicatedly read many reviews and a high percentage of healthy paws customers’ seemed very satisfied. So I enrolled my healthy puppy with healthy paws. On my first month enrolled she started limping intermittently, and she was sadly diagnosed with elbow dysplasia. When I was at the vet's office I was very worried because apart of the bad news, I thought I had read some kind of waiting period for dysplasia diseases. Then I read my policy again and the waiting period was only for hip dysplasia, which meant her treatment would be covered. This was a big relief for me so I decided to proceed with her treatment. The Claim process has been extremely efficient and straightforward; it takes less than a week to receive a check in the mail. I cannot recommend them enough, I feel extremely lucky to be able to afford any of my dog medical needs and not let money take part on important decisions.

HEALTHY PAWS is amazing. I have 2 dogs and choosing a pet insurance company was overwhelming with so many different types of benefits to compare. I researched every company by creating a complex spreadsheet with all the companies and their different benefits. Then I input $'s I'd spent each year on vet bills. Then I played around with different scenarios & amounts. Even with the out of pocket initial consult exam fees, Healthy Paws came out on top when comparing $ paid to value received. After I signed up I knew I'd made the right choice because of their wonderful service. Claims are incredibly EASY for both me AND MY VET. Reimbursement was prompt (amazingly so) and no hassles with what was covered at all. (FYI- I also discovered with my spreadsheet that over the years I saved MORE going with the lowest deductible ($100) and highest percentage paid (90%), even though it's a higher monthly premium. I was surprised too!)
