I submitted a 2nd claim for my cat for his stomach problems and Trupanion had accepted and approved my claim within one business day. Great company compared to other insurance companies I have dealt with in the past with other pets.

Happy to have Healthy Paws
I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws. I have had many (fifteen) claims in the past 13 months with my puppy. Healthy Paws has great customer service, rapid processing, and great coverage with no yearly maximum or lifetime max. I researched several different pet insurances, finding Healthy Paws to have the best coverage. My best advise is to get insurance early, before their is an issue, and you have a predetermined condition.

I Chose the Best Pet Insurance
We had a rescue ( Terrier mix)who got into something toxic on her paws (we think), then ingested it when grooming herself.She had a emergency visit to the vet. The following day had to be admitted into the Vet. hospital for 4 days. Although they thought she would pull through, she did not. She went into renal failure. Pets Best was very fast with the claims. Couldn't be nicer when I had to call with questions. Pets Best even sent a sympathy card to us.Pets Best was an ease of mind during a very difficult time!

BEST pet insurance (I wish they covered humans)
I have never felt so supported by an insurance company. The folks at Healthy Paws not only processed my claim in a flash (check received in under a week), which was amazing. The system is simple to use, materials required are appropriate and not onerous in any way, and communication very clear. Most touching are the personal touches,emails following up with me to see how Kinley (my dog) was doing after her extensive surgeries.

I highly recommend Trupanion without reservation!
Pet insurance has come a long way! Years ago, I tried it and discontinued it, as it didn't seem to cover anything. My vet recommended Trupanion, and I decided to enroll my golden retriever puppy. He developed a chronic problem with his ears, shaking his head, etc., which led to multiple doctor visits and various meds. They even had to put him under anesthesia and take some xrays. After I met my deductible, Trupanion has paid all claims as they said they would, and I couldn't be happier with their service. My vet is electronically linked to them, so claims are filed and responded to before I even pay my bill. So I don't have to wait to be reimbursed. I think Trupanion is wonderful, and I recommend them without reservation!

Not the Greatest
I have filed several claims for my 8 year old dog. While the process to file is easy, it took a very long time to get any response as to the result. Also, every time I have filed, I get an email about two weeks later saying more info is needed from the vet and I have two days to fax the info in or the case is closed. This is a serious pain and inconvenience, especially when I receive this on a Friday evening. I recently filed about four claims. I received an EOB on the claims that were denied, but have yet to receive an EOB on the claims that are going to be paid. The only way I discovered was by logging on to the account and checking for myself. Still waiting for my check.
