After 7 days I'm still waiting…

After 7 days I'm still waiting for approval (or not). Not a lot to review right now. I thought you guys would be quicker.

We had all claims for our 2 pups…

We had all claims for our 2 pups denied. It's a tribunal every time your puppy catches a cold and you want to get it covered - nothing like human medical insurance at all. I'd look for another option. This company has a lot of negative reviews, especially in recent years, and I wish that I had done my homework before signing up with them....Responding to their reply, the appointments were not all during the waiting period though their reason for rejecting was always "waiting period" in writing but if you called they gave a different answer. You can't win with this group- try somewhere else.

SPOT is easy to work and always…

SPOT is easy to work with and always helpful when I call with questions. Their processing is quick and provide good communication on claims or requests for an estimate. This is the first time having insurance on my older puppers and am very happy to have SPOT coverage.

I have sent in my Vet receipts twice

I have sent in my Vet receipts twice, again! I have not yet received reimbursement for the 2 visits made to Vet. The last time I submitted receipts they never paid anything for the $400. dental bill !! This will be the last time I pay all this money for coverage and receive nothing! I am not at all pleased with the lack of service this company provides!

Submitted claims disappear

It’s easy to submit claims but sometimes I have to submit the same claims multiple times. The claims I submitted don’t show in the app or sometimes they seem to disappear.

Very happy with claim process & reimbursement

I’m always nervous about whether an insurance company will actually reimburse, and when we moved and had a stressful time, with one of my dogs having pancreatitis, then a month later she got out and got an infection in her leg from a scuffle with another animal, and also had a vet recommended prescription food and a specific probiotic powder for her suspected allergies/licking that worsened after antibiotics, Spot processed the claims within a few days and paid them as expected! They covered everything (after deductible) at 70% as that was the coverage level I had chosen, with the exception of a few small unrelated/not covered fees. Total reimbursement was about $1,000. I opted for checks for the claims which took a bit longer to arrive, but they have an option for direct deposit so I may set that up in the future. I had a higher deductible set ($1,000) which I have now lowered for this upcoming annual renewal, now that I know that the claims process goes well! Since pet insurance companies don’t generally cover pre-existing conditions, definitely consider getting coverage early/ASAP for your dogs. It is a huge help with high, unexpected expenses.

Claim process has improved drastically

The speed of the claim approval has improved drastically. It typically took around six weeks, but this time it was processed in about two—possibly even less. This was my first claim in quite some time, so I’m not sure whether the faster processing was circumstantial or indicative of a new standard. I truly hope future claims will be handled just as efficiently.

Pet's Best

"My dog was diagnosed with pruritis, requiring daily medication. I am able to get his prescription filled in 3 month increments, reducing the time I have to spend going to the vet to pick up his medication. Filing the claim for reimbursement is as easy as taking a picture on my phone. Within a couple of weeks, the claim amount is automatically deposited into my bank account."
