I've used Trupanion through 2 dogs
I've used Trupanion through 2 dogs and they've always been prompt about paying claims. I would be cautious about what may be noted in the first visit though. My dog showed licking and pink legs, so itching was noted on his chart. It resolved and was probably just nerves from having a new home. Now, though, anything with an itching symptom gets excluded. Doesn't seem right.

I don’t like that you automatically add this insurance when I adopted my new pet. I canceled it as soon as I saw the email about it. In the future I hope you don’t practice this add on without permission from the customers!

After 14 years as a loyal customer
After 14 years as a loyal customer, I’m extremely disappointed with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Premiums have increased year after year with no transparency or itemized explanation of what’s driving the cost. My current pet has had no prior claim history, aside from routine annual wellness visits, which makes these increases even more difficult to understand and justify. These ongoing increases feel excessive and leave long-time customers in a difficult position—especially when switching providers is not a realistic option due to a pet’s age or pre-existing conditions. When I contacted customer service, I was told there was nothing they could do. No solutions, no flexibility, and no accountability. Loyal customers deserve better communication and fairness. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Hannah was super so I don't have her last name She was in Maine I believe I don't have a computer and I'm not a computer guru. She helped me set the direct deposit for claims and to be able to get online with things. So kind patient super cheerful. Fantastic lady enjoyed the contact with her.

Don't use this service if you love your pet
I filed a claim when my cat was sick. Vomiting was a symptom. Since she vomited once in her life before, they wouldn't cover her emergency visit. I wasn't given a diagnosis by my vet or the emergency vet, but fetch pet made one for her and denied the claim. Do not use this service if you can just pay out of pocket. Especially, because they only reimburse you. Fetch Pet family my behind.
