Very difficult

The first customer service rep did not listen to one thing that i said to her in regards to my claim. In fact she actually talked down to me on some of the line items that i did not understand. Before I called i had spoken to my Vet who had told me that the charges were incorrect and that many of the non-covered charges were for the teeth cleaning and not the growth removal. I did speak to a supervisor who told me that they would review the claim again and get back to me in 30-days. Brian McGowan 508-380-9927

you make my vet jump through hoops to get payments. RIDICULOUS

I was please with one of the bills you recently paid. Today i received a call from the vet because you are questioning a procedure my little girl needs to have due to her 3rd UTI. My only care is my little girl is happy and healthy this type of back and forth is unsettling. If i knew today what I see from your services i never would have chosen Nationwide. Truly disappointing. I would like to know who reviews the claims is it a MED doctor ? IN human insurance we have rights and can request the medical directors input , not someone who is trained to read from a script and decide an outcome for a patient of yours. This truly is shame how you treat your customers. I would like a manger to follow up with me in regards to any outstanding claims and see what the issues are you are finding a reason not to cover her health needs.

We recommend this Nationwide VPI to our friends!

We are very pleased with the coverage and the responsiveness of VPI. We rescued our puggle at age two, and she proved to develop some health problems. She is much better now, but we will always keep our VPI current for her and any other future dogs. We were so glad that we took out both wellness coverage and major medical. After a reasonable deductible VPI covers fully almost all costs from our veterinarian.

Collect premiums, slow to pay, minimal payment or denying all

Since taking over for VIP Nationwide is very slow to pay and will take the maximum of 30 days to respond to bills. Then when advised of the payment, they state they want more information, even though every thing was received with the original billing submission. Then expect to wait another 30 days to find they will deny payment; due to them reducing coverage and maximum paid out which is 1/4 of the cost. Very little seems to be covered now I would recommend not taking out the basic wellness coverage, you can save money not paying the premium for regular visits.

Shelby had a broken tooth that required removal. Nationwide covered most of the cost of the removal. The claim process was seamless.
