Nationwide is a good choice for your pet.
I am very happy and pleased with the recent coverage of Belles injury! The monthly cost is a little high for a dog who is 8 and had no prior serious problems, however I am pleased with the coverage of her ACL injury! She is doing ok but the sensitivity to reinjury is high. We are doing our best to keep her quiet and somewhat confined. It’s just a matter of time and hopefully will not need the surgery. We shall see. Thank you for inquiring!

Wish reimbursement limits weren’t so low
For the most part I’ve been comfortable with the coverage. But the reason I got the policy when Elvis was a puppy was so that when he was older and I was faced with costly treatment that I could more easily get him the care he needed. The coverage for his most recent treatment was the exact example I had in mind 8 years ago. Easily treatable cancer. I didn’t think twice about agreeing to the surgery. But I was reimbursed about one third of the cost. I wonder if instead of paying the premium for eight years I would have better off to put that money in a savings account set aside for vet expenses. Maybe.

The best thing we did for our pup
Deciding to get pet insurance for our pup Lacey was the best decision that we made. She has been prone to ear infections and has had some other illnesses and ASPCA has been BEYOND helpful every time. The process to submit claims is easy and they are very quick about processing them. I would definitely recommend getting insurance to keep your furbaby protected.

Ease of Mind
We have pet insurance so that we don’t have to worry about how to pay for the big one if it happens. Well it happened. Our little girl tore her cruciate ligament and damaged her meniscus in her rear leg. The injury required surgery by a specialist. Huge cost. But no worries, the surgery was covered by our insurance. The claim was filed and approved within a couple of days. Payment was very prompt. Our puppy is well on the road to recovery. With the insurance we never had to worry about the costs and we were able to concentrate on getting our dog the needed treatment. What a relief! Ease of mind. Thank you Nationwide.

Healthy Paws saved us $7,853.99…
Healthy Paws saved us $7,853.99 this summer. My young border collie, Toro, had a terrible summer of gastrointestinal issues and a heat stroke. Healthy Paws empowered us to take control of Toro's health to get the right combo of expertise and emergency care with the providers of our choice. We never had to delay life-saving care because of financial concern. This literally saved Toro's life. If we had to spend a few more hours debating how or if we could afford emergency care, Toro's condition might have worsened beyond recovery - he spent overnight in the ER and 4 days in Critical Care. Now, he has more energy than ever, and he is finally enjoying his food - something we have struggled with his whole life. We got pet insurance through Healthy Paws when Toro was a puppy for the occasional illnesses, knowing that health insurance is an investment that might not payoff until he became more senior and possibly had cancer or hip issues (which Healthy Paws has supported with our other family dogs in the past). We had no idea that Healthy Paws would save Toro's life so young. We are forever grateful for their customer service team allowing us to just focus on Toro's recovery and not worry about the finances. It was very scary and stressful enough. Sometimes, they took less than 24 hours to issue a reimbursement, but I was also happy to wait the full 10 business days for the larger bills because I knew they would investigate it properly, our vets would support us with justifying the services, and Healthy Paws would reach out to us to check in on Toro's progress.
