Thanks for paying for Tiki's claim!

we recently got a new puppy, which we also insured with you. I think our 7 year old lab was showing off for his new friend, and he somehow ate a tennis ball which blocked his intestines. Nationwide took the stress off this event and paid the claim, and informed us of the process along the way. Insurance for us humans should be so easy!

Not a company with moral and ethical principles.

I’m writing to all future and existing customers to make them aware of the way this company runs. Be aware that if your pet gets sick, the insurance company can easily deny coverage based on lab work performed previously. There are many customer with the same complaint or even worse, just read the reviews with 1 or 2 stars. They will simply deny any coverage if your pet had elevated numbers in previous lab work and label it as preexisting condition. All this time I thought this company would be a peace of mind to us when you need them the most. But I was wrong and they just took all the money I’ve paid for about 3 years. I never used their benefits because my cat has been healthy for about 14 years. Now my cat has been unwell, she lacks of appetite and has weigh loss. I took her to the vet, they did a completely lab work and the doctor said that her kidneys are failing. The doctor suggested three days of IV fluids in the hospital to help her with the toxins in the blood. I called ASPCA to have an authorization to proceed with the IV therapy, and they simply said that they won’t cover it because this is related to a lab work she had 2 years ago. Now, not even the future care is not going to be cover but the also the tests and visit performed yesterday. My cat was never diagnosed with any disease before now, but the insurance support their denial based on the lab work she had two years ago. They just let me paid the premiums all this time but never notified me or letting me know that due to those test results my cat was never going to be cover. Now after paying more than $600 in premiums for the “Illnesses and Accident” coverage and another $500 for yesterday’s visit, they keep telling me that the latest test and vet visit won’t be covered because it is related to the tests two years ago. Now if my cat passes away, the euthanasia and the cremation won’t be covers because according to the insurance the visit and lab work is related to the tests performed 2 years ago and those charges won’t satisfy the deductible. I’ve talked to them several times and they simply don’t care. I wish I knew about they way they do business. This is simply not fair to my family and any one with a beloved pet.

Great insurance but my premium has almost doubled in price for next year.

The insurance is wonderful, but my policy Premium has almost doubled in price for next year. They rate the price yearly and that rate doesn’t change until next year. I’ll keep the insurance until I find something comparable with a more reasonable rate.

Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without them!

Honestly, I love them so much. I don’t know what I would do without ASPCE insurance. I had two furry ones pass away the past two years and knowing that I’m doing everything I can for my last fur baby makes me so happy. I think their prices are so reasonable and their customer service is on point. I would say the only reason why I don’t give a full 5 star review its because claims do take a bit to process. 2-4 weeks and most of the time they need medical records from your vet which makes the process take longer. However, I haven’t had any problems with claims. Everything I have submitted has been approved and reimbursed without much trouble.
