Easy claim process and affordable health insurance

Happy with nationwide

Nationwide was the employer based pet insurance. I opted for the medication +vet visits option which was $80. Except for the app never being able to correctly scan my vet bill and having to pay money for a $4 pdf PTO scan app the bills have all been paid as expected for her spay and monthly heartworm and flea a tick pills. Hopefully someone can tell IT to fix the pdf scan part of vitrus app or get another app for your customers. I feel I have gotten value for my insurance so I definitely recommend nationwide.

Quick, easy to file claims, fast direct deposit of funds after review of claim! What more could you ask?

The only negative comment is that the increase in premiums is becoming to frequent! Other than that excellent service!

Harry’s “mom”

Harry has been dealing with double pneumonia for 2 months resulting in multiple vet bills. The ease with which I’ve been able to submit claims and the rapid response has taken some of the stress out of a very stressful situation. And the coverage has allowed me to obtain the care he needs.

Indifferent

The submission was easy and the time to approval for reimbursement was reasonable. However, the check has not arrived in over 2 weeks. I called and the representative told me I have to wait 21 days before they can cancel and re-issue. I explained this will accrue interest charges in my credit card and would like an alternate solution. She was extremely unhelpful and read to me the policy 3 times as if I did not understand. I was asking for a remedy to my concern but there isn’t one. There was no human thought process on how to make this right, how to address my concern. My suggestions were met with, “we don’t do that”. So what’s the point of this customer service, when apparently I have no choice but to wait? There wasn’t so much as an, “I’m sorry”. I’m sorely disappointed with the responses I received and I expected more from such a highly recommended company.

I would never purchase a policy for any of my pets through this company again.

Our vet has submitted all claims for our dog's appointments. This insurance company has been a problem sense the beginning of August which is 2 1/2 months into our policy year. We have met our deductible right away and the vet is to cover 90% of the costs. Not all costs but most. This policy cost us 111.00 month and we are awaiting on at least $550.00 in reimbursements. The insurance company keeps asking for more of a description from our vet from the appointments and they get sent. However, they claim it isn't enough or haven't received any. The vet has proof of all submissions. This insurance company is delaying reimbursement for absolutely NO reason. We are very dissatisfied. Our vet has informed us that they have never dealt with a pet insurance company that is being this unrealistic.

I appreciate the customer care from Nationwide, more than I could express in one sentence.

Nationwide really cares about their customers and their pets and they helped me in some difficult situations that my dog faced at a young age. They're great to work with and communicate with as well. I believe they do care about the customer and not just getting your monthly premium in their pocket. Thanks, Nationwide!
