HORRIBLE COMPANY, WAS GOOD NOW AWFUL
Sneaky company quotes a $1,000 deductible but you must spend over $1,300 to meet a $1,000 deductible! Their own website apologizes for delayS in paying claims...go see for yourself. Calls go unanswered for up to an hour then answered by a Philippine phone room. They dont pay the vet's fee! They dont cover things like stem cell therapy like Embrace does. Trust me, this company haS morphed into a total loser! I switched to Embrace that charges an honest deductible....$1,000 means $1,000! They pay the vet's fee and meds. They covered over $2,ooo for stem cell therapy for my dogs hips (Healthy Paws not). Try calling Healthy Paws then call embrace. Try submitting a claim and see who pays within a reasonable period of time and who does not. Embrace will cover up to 30K annually and thats far more than you may ever need! I URGE YOU TO ASK HEALTHY PAWS HOW MUCH YOU MUST SPEND TO MEET A THOUSAND DOLLAR DEDUCTIBLE. ASK THEM WILL THEY PAY YOUR VET? WILL THEY PAY FOR STEM CELL THERAPY OR ACUPUNCTURE. GO LOOK AT THEIR APOLOGETIC WEBSITE. DO YOU SPEAK TAGALO....CAN YOU UNDERSTAND FOREIGNERS OR WANT YOUR MONEY AND JOBS OUTSOURCED WHEN EVERY OTHER PET INSURER IS HOME BASED. DISGUSTING. Good claim service, but pre-existing conditions practice make it difficult to use
I signed up for Nationwide this year for pet insurance for the first time. There are a lot of positive aspects of how you submit claims, etc., but what has made it difficult to get value from it has been how they have gone into my pet's history to identify any pre-existing conditions or even current conditions that may have been related to earlier conditions. Basically, unless your dog is in perfect health or if you are anticipating new expenses as your dog ages, then this probably isn't a good value.

Just one complaint. I wish you would put the invoice number on my refunds. This way I can match them up to see what I got per invoice. Is that possible? Thank You.

ASPCA insurance is great and would recommend!
I've had this insurance for my pom for at least a few years now and have used it every year since having it! Recently my pom had very expensive exploratory surgery and ASPCA was very quick to go over my claim and refund the majority of that money. I have recommended to everyone who mentions they want to get insurance for their pet.

So smooth
Never had pet insurance before so was not sure what to expect. I just sent a copy of my bill from my vet and in no time at all, I received a response explaining what our entitlements were. I completely agreed with them. The first time I got a check issued but the second time, I had direct deposit. Never had any thing go so smoothly. Thank you again.

Easy to work with
Everything about Pets Best is easy from when I initially chose a plan, how to make a payment and handling the renewal and the claim process is super easy. You submit the itemized receipt from your vet, and Pets Best does the legwork including getting any clarity from the vet directly, which is so appreciated. Then once approved, reimbursement is in my account the next business day! It gives me a peace of mind when it comes to taking care of my pet's health or accidents.
