The coverage is great! The web portal not so much
The coverage is great! I love that wellness visits and all his vaccines and prevention is covered. I do not like the web portal. It’s cumbersome and difficult to navigate. It was hard to find the link to VitusVet for the initial setup for ‘easy’ claims. Othellos breed is not listed in many places, but Is acknowledged in the initial quote section. Why is that? I wish there was a snapshot where we can see where we are with meeting the annual deductible, instead of opening all his documents and calculate it ourselves as best we could. Coverage is great. The web portal has room for improvement.

I've had dogs for 30+ years and have insured them through VPI and Nationwide for the past 10-15 years. I'm often asked by friends and family about pet insurance, and I've always recommended VPI and Nationwide. Periodically the turnaround time on claims is slow, but usually it's very timely and when needed the on phone resources are very helpful and friendly.

Nationwide gives peace of mind

Good Choice
Our dog is a 5 year old rescue and came to us with a clean bill of health. Because we did not have him as a puppy we decided it was best to purchase pet insurance. This was a good decision because our rescue does have health issues. Thanks to us, Nationwide and the Vet our rescue is in good hands.
