One of the best things I have done.
This gives me the peace of mind that if something major would happen, I can handle the expense to take care of my dog. I love how quickly they handle the claims. My dog has developed an ear infection-allergy issue which makes me really glad I have Trupanion protection.

Overall a great experience with its flaws
Overall, Embrace has been amazing. It's on the higher end of premium costs compared to others, so with that, I expect higher service and they have definitely delivered on that. We have had a policy with them since 2019 and have only had 1 or 2 "issues" and it's really just been with the claims person who was handling our claim. I won't get into detail because I truly think it was her lack of effort, not the company as a whole.
Embrace makes it VERY easy to submit claims and they process them quickly. Like in less than 24 hours. This is new and improved but it matches the service I expect for my monthly premium cost. Their online portal is easy to use and overall we are happy with them! We get a discount for being USAA customers, so I would see if your current insurance plan has a deal with them as well!

Best coverage
I took my dog "Porkchop" for emergency surgery and paid next to nothing because of the coverage I had with Spot Pet Insurance. I'm incredibly grateful for their help and ease with submitting the claim and getting reimbursed so quickly.

Trupanion is the best!
My Vet recommended Trupanion as soon as I got my French bull dog. The breed is known to have health issues and the hospital and vet bills are very costly. Trupanion is very easy to file a claim on-line. You will get an immediate response followed by payment. I can't say enough good things about this insurance company!

Excellent service
I cannot say enough about the help from everyone I dealt with at Trupanion. The ease of processing my claim for Missy's treatment was exceptional. Everyone was concerned about Missy and always asked me how she was doing after her emergency surgery. Thank you all so much!

Highly Recommend - Fast Reimbursement and Easy Process
Get the insurance!!!!
When she got sick a few weeks ago we took her to an emergency vet clinic - our bill walking away from there was $1,149. We immediately had to take her to the vet specialist - our deposit was $10,045 😳😳 because they expected the total bill to be $13-$15K. The bill after surgery ended up being less than this at around $6,500 total.
So in the end we walked away from both visits with a total of $7,700 in bills!
I can say that without pet insurance this decision of having the surgery would not have been an easy one and more than likely at her age we would have skipped it, which would have risked her life and we could have lost her.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was immediately on top of our claims and we have already received our reimbursement checks where they covered 80% of the bills. Yes that means we still paid about $1500 out of pocket but that was a no brainer and allowed us to go through with everything necessary and hopefully earn a few more years with Delilah!
