MetLife Pet Insurance does not acknowledge receipt of claims sent in by Veterinary staff on the actual day of service. Insured then has to send in claims as an email attachment. The claim is acknowledged as having been received and the clock starts ticking for processing at that time. No explanation is given as to what happened to the first submission.

I love MetLife Pet Insurance
I love MetLife Pet Insurance for many reasons , my claims have been completed as they say within 5-10 days , and that’s if your Vet does the notes correctly and I have the best Vet. If ever I have a question there customer service representative’s go above and beyond, always willing to help and explain anything if needed , kind and caring . My payment I receive immediately when the claim is complete and it’s direct deposit , the website is very easy and you don’t have to fill out much , send a copy of your bill along with your paper work it’s been a great experience so far and I have two dogs covered .

Metlife was offered with adoption well worth it already
Metlife was offered as part of the adoption package when we adopted Charley. I signed up for it and then I took her to the vet cuz she had a little boo boo on her paw right after we got her and I just wanted to have it checked out in and they wanted to do a facal exam since they didn't know her to make sure she was good and MetLife reimbursed me quickly and without any issues
