Quick, consistent reimbursement with an easy claim process
I've had pet insurance for decades, before 30 companies discovered the "new" market and jumped in. I debated changing from 10 years of Embrace (excellent company) to ASPCA. But as we are retired now, the equivalent coverage, with a lower premium, decided me. I did worry that service wouldn't be as good. But ASPCA has been great! At age one, my healthy Dane suddenly developed EPI. (His pancreas doesn't make the enzymes required to digest food.) He needs (expensive!) enzymes added to each meal - or he will starve. We buy enzymes every two months, and each claim is very quick, easy, and covered! Our premium went up 30% at age three. And will, as is normal, increase again as he ages. But I feel it is currently proportionate and a fair price for the risk and coverage. Our big boy is happy and active. :) And, with ASPCA's help, we can afford to keep him that way (without starving ourselves to pay the cost). I've been active in both showing and rescue for years. And now I tell every pet owner I meet to "get ASPCA - ASAP"!

After nine years of loyalty, consistently paying my premiums in full, Nationwide abruptly eliminated my policy—with no option to grandfather it in. Despite my long-term commitment, they offered no meaningful alternatives or consideration for existing customers. Instead, they’re now pushing a “modular” plan that sounds flexible but is far less comprehensive. Coverage is fragmented, and many essential treatments and services are either excluded or come at an extra cost. It’s a downgrade disguised as an upgrade. If you're shopping for pet insurance, read the fine print carefully. Pumpkin means I can focus on my cat and not the bill
Having Pumpkin insurance means that whenever my cat is ill I can focus on her and not stress over the cost of her treatments. Filing a claim is easy, they've made the process very user friendly, I only have to check a few boxes and upload the vet bill . Pumpkin will reach out to the vet directly if they need additional medical records. The communication from Pumpkin was great. The official approval is back in just a couple of days, and they always encouraged to reach out with questions. Since they are great at providing information I rarely have any questions.

Processing Time & Seasonal Allergies
I love the service, but the estimated processing time is always way under the actual time. Additionally, it's frustrated something like seasonal allergies are treated as a preexisting condition as it isn't something a dog develops. It should be treated like heartworm meds. That being said, I really do love MetLife pet and the service you provide.
