Pet insurance is the best investment you can make for your pets.

I am so thankful for Healthy Paws insurance! I got Willow started on the insurance when she was a puppy because I was fearful of her getting cancer. Little did I know she would be diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 4 years old and need a total hip replacement. Healthy Paws has been fairly quick getting the claims processed and I am already awaiting reimbursement for her surgery, which was 4 weeks ago. They even emailed to check on her progress! I have referred many people to them and will continue to do so.

After having 5 dogs without pet…

After having 5 dogs without pet insurance we decided, upon getting our 6th puppy, to get pet insurance. I'm still not quite sure why we did this time around because all our other dogs were pretty healthy. However. Am I glad we got the insurance this time around! Our new puppy has been into everything....like a Hoover on steroids and unfortunately, has needed medical care on multiple occaisions to get her well. ( This has included both regular vet visits and a visit to the emergency hospital. ) Pets best has been great. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took about 2 months to hear back about our initial claims. After that our claims were processed fairly and quickly. We also had a good experience with calling their help line in getting questions answered. I would recommend pets best insurance.

Hot Spot Revew

I like Nationwide so far because Vet files claims to Nationwide and I don't have to worry about paperwork errors and then Nationwide expedites reimbursement checks quickly back to me. I have far less likely to wait on an issue now because of lack of money for the vet. Gives me piece of mind I am doing the right thing. . (PS, contact information provided is confidential).

Bella is back to normal!

Thank you for helping Bella through her illness. We have had very windy conditions here and we believe she ate pedals from a toxic flower that blew into our yard from somewhere. Our dogs are in the house most of the time and they have a lot of active time in the yard but we go out with them to encourage exercise and to keep them safe because we have heard of coyotes attacking dogs of all sizes not to mention mountain lions! We are very careful about what they come in contact with but having a huge fenced yard it is hard to see everything. My only complaint with Nationwide is that we rescued Bella and her brother from a bad situation and were told they were a mix, shepherd and lab. I didn't realize they could have a hereditary issue until Bella was diagnosed with hip and elbow dysplasia. We have her on cosequin and a special prescription diet to help her feel better and monitor the severity daily but we can't afford to pay $15k - $20k for surgeries that are not covered.

Run ...they are horrible......they will lie to you and reject your claim

I had a long drawn out drama with this insurance....I had a sick cat that was hospitalized just 2 days after I adopted her from the Humane Society....I was given misleading information and was told the claim would be handled personally by Ashlee W...who I spoke to... a supervisor in there member center...that she would make an exception and take care of things for me inspite of me just getting the insurance very recently...all lies!...the claim was rejected....thank god I got my almost 700 dollars in Vet bills reimbursed by the Humane society...long story...because this insurance is crap....they'll run you around and you'll get no where....save your money and go elsewhere.. .

Claims process very easy and and pay the claim fast!

I am a 42 year Nationwide claims veteran. You make the claims process very easy and pay the claim fast! I love the electronic claim payment. Very easy to do.
