Excellent Customer Service
My Boston, Sansa had difficulty breathing due to brachycephalic syndrome and surgery was an option for her. I immediately contacted Trupanion who suggested that we submit a preapproval claim, which we did prior to scheduling the surgery. Once we were given the approval, surgery was scheduled and we knew what are financial responsibilities were. Surgery went well and I filed the final claim which was approved within 24 hours. Everyone that I spoke with at Trupanion were professional and caring. They showed concern for Sansa and I truly appreciated all of their efforts during this stressful time. The surgery was successful and my little girl can breathe and sleep well. I recommend Trupanion to anyone looking for a wonderful insurance feature plan that has caring customer service.

What has happened to them recently?
I've had both my dogs on Trupanion, one for 10 years and one for almost 7, and up until recently they've been great. I've recommended them to family and friends and had only positive things to say. However, my one dog is a senior with ongoing medical issues, but nothing new, so as usual I submit my claims. I have contacted them several times over claims as old at 6 weeks, but they keep giving me the run around about it. They have no reason why it's not been approved, the vet has responded, the claim is for an ongoing issue and has always been approved quickly, but they are now giving me the run around. When I call or engage in online chat, they claim they don't know why it hasn't been paid yet. I will be pulling my younger dog out of Trupanion and finding a new insurance for him, but my older dog has too many pre-existing issues. I have two stars for the good years I had with them, but recent payment issues, customer service issues and over all lack of help to resolve this issue, has cost them my loyalty.

I really do appreciate and love this insurance. It's saved me so much. My poor dachshund has a seizure disorder and desperately needs medicine, vet visits, etc. I'm very thankful.

Healthy Paws is a shining star in our time of need.
We have a one-year old Doberman Pinscher who started having a bloody nose every day since 9/27/19. Some episodes were worse than others. After seeing multiple vets/specialists and incurring a large debt due to various blood panels and medical procedures, Healthy Paws helped to relieve the pressure of worrying about the costs so we could concentrate on taking care of our pet. The claims were handled quickly and the customer service was phenomenal. They contacted us to see how our pet was doing. They really cared. Thank you Healthy Paws for being there when we needed help.

Nationwide is an Extension of ourselves
After losing our 9 yr old Pointer in June, we got our Pointer puppy in August. Once getting home at 10 weeks, we had some some initial big challenges being exposed to Kennel Cough, and some other small challenges. Nationwide's team has given us great reason to be believers in their care and coverage. We appreciate all the guidance you provide, and the follow up. Thank you! Grateful for the awesome coverage and service
Thank God for our insurance coverage with Nationwide for our 14-year-old furbaby who needed an operation for her torn ACL. We have been able to take care of her and rest easy, financially, because Nationwide was there. Too many times an owner who doesn't have the right insurance or can't afford it, is forced to euthanize their four-legged family members. I am grateful that we have been able to maintain our insurance payments because we would not have been to afford this surgery, not to mention the many times that we have been covered for yearly health maintenance for both of our "girls."

ASPCA is a phenomenal provider of pet insurance with exceptional customer service!
Our wonderful 8 year old Shi Tzu Chloe became unexpectedly ill with an eye issue and then had a terrible reaction to the medication. These were hard to deal with and you hate to see your pet so sick. One condition ended up putting her into intensive care in an animal hospital for two days which was very scary. The fact that the ASPCA insurance gave us piece of mind we were covered, we could focus on her care with less anxiety during this trying time. In addition, it is so simple to file claims via online or mobile to recoup some of the care costs back. It was amazing!
