The inception of the policy was anything but smooth
This policy was supposedly a VIP policy for costco members. They could not correct the address. Two phone calls placed to customer service resulted in wait times for over 8 minutes each. Hold times for info another 10 plus minutes. Received several emails asking for records and a waiver that would cost money for an office visit. This is probably the worst member deal at Costco. I have cancelled this policy by day 5. The representative would not refund the $15 enrollment fee. I could only imagine how awful the service would be after the 30 day mark. Shop around.

Premium doubles in one year knowing other companies won’t cover preexisting conditions. It’s a trap So I contacted Fetch again following their response. My premium went from $309 to $680 per year. I requested a quote if I lowered cap from 15k to 10k. No change in premium. They say if you have a small breed dog that develops allergies, by age 4 their premiums could double.

Claims are a nightmare
Price is the only good thing about my Pets Best policy. Everything else is terrible, especially trying to get paid for claims. I have a diabetic cat and have to submit claims for him regularly and it's a nightmare.

Not your typical insurance company
There is a no-hassle claim process (submitted by vet's office). Claims are paid quickly. If ever a mistake is made -very, very rare occurrence - they take care of it immediately. In spite of having 2 senior dogs with claims for both every month, our premium has remained fair and reasonable. And they are always pleasant and helpful to talk to if I ever need to call them.

Leaving after four years of constant but…
After four years of constant but reasonable increases (from $31 to $62), current year renewal for a healthy 6 year old 55lbs dog went from $62 to $97. An otherwise great company that I would have stuck with and often recommended ruined by idiotic decisions - note the numerous complaints here and on other social media platforms like Reddit.
