Trupanion has denied claims pertaining to my dog's IBS.
Trupanion has denied claims pertaining to my dog's IBS. He has to be on prescription food for the rest of his life and they will not cover. I have check and other insurers will cover food costs as well as going back to a specialist for rechecks - all of which Trupanion has denied. I am now stuck with Trupanion because he now has pre existing conditions. The customer service department is very good , but they can't do anything.

Healthy Paws has been the absolute BEST for us!
I got insurance for my pup as soon as she was old enough. I had never gotten pet insurance before but thought it wise with a new puppy in the house! Boy was I glad! And I'm EXTRA glad it was Healthy Paws. They have a great app that I can use where ever I am so that I can get my claims in quickly and not have to worry about them. The turn around time is great for reimbursement and customer service has always been great the very few times I've reached out. Lola is now 4 years old and we've been through a LOT. I'm grateful for the caring people at Healthy Paws who even checked in on her when she had TPLO. Not your average pet insurance, I'm certain of it! Reasonable monthly rates that are right for any animal and budget. I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Getting exactly what I expected I got the 14k annual coverage. Deductible of $250 with 80% coverage on bills. I so far have unfortunately had to submit 4 claims since getting my puppy. Claim submittal is extremely easy. After the claim is processed they give a document outlining the breakdown of the claim amount: show what amount goes toward deductible, what I pay for the coinsurance, and then what Figo paid out on the claim. Figo reaches out to the vet for any questions and so far I've had nothing extra to do on my claims apart from submitting them. I have surpassed my deductible for the year and now any claims I submit I get 80% reimbursed for. It helps ease my mind I have coverage for my dog and not have to worry about breaking the bank when something happens to him. When I have any questions it's been easy to call during their business hours and talk to a person about my concerns. The only thing that is missing that would put Figo at a 10 would be a wellness plan especially on puppies. First year of owning a dog and being responsible with them is quite expensive. Having a wellness plan would help mitigate these expenses. They could do a 2 year contract or something to help balance the costs. Overall, Figo is great pet insurance. While they are admittedly my only experience with Pet insurance I haven't been disappointed with them at all.

I would like to share my experience with trupanion pet insurance. I had excellent service from trupanion. Dixie has been my pet for 8 years and she has always been in excellent health. However, the last 2 years I made a decision to get Dixie pet insurance through trupanion. I have had trupanion for 2 years now and I can honestly say that they came through for me at a time that Dixie needed them the most. Dixie was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with pyometra, a life threatening emergency. Her uterus and ovaries needed to be removed urgently. The hospital Dixie went to had direct pay with trupanion. I called trupanion the night I was in the hospital with Dixie and they helped me and were with me every step of the way. Trupanion came through 90 percent. I only paid for 10 percent, deductible, and the physician consults. It was amazing. I appreciate trupanion for coming through for Dixie during this time. Dixie is now in the recovery phase. She is doing very well. My fiance and I wanted to thank trupanion for their excellent service. We are recommending them to all pet owners. Thank you trupanion!!!!!
