I felt it took longer than I expected, and when there was something was wrong with the claim it took a month for them to notify me about the change that needed to happen but other than that happy with the service and have been sending people your way from my area

Wellness Worth It
I got a full plan, including wellness on my puppy. It was very worth it because there is a lot of wellness cost upfront for young animals. Many trips for checkups and booster vaccines and stool sample tests, etc. Having the wellness plan at a time like this really made it worth it and helped keep those costs under control. It's also nice that there is no deductible for wellness and pays 100% up to the yearly limits. I do wish those limits were a little higher without having to go up to the next tier, the $26/mo. option isn't feasible when you run the numbers. I also like the peace of mind that, with having the illness and accident insurance, too, seeing how smoothly the processing went for my wellness claim, I can expect the same level of service should I need to file an accident or illness claim.

Best pet insurance company around!
I truly do not think I could be more thankful for Healthy Paws. They have the best system to file claims that makes it convenient, simple, and quick. They also are incredibly fast in reviewing and deciding on a claim. But what sets them apart is their customer service. We recently found out that my dog has a heart condition. Within a week, we had spent close to $2000 in vet bills. Not only did Healthy Paws promptly process our claims and send out our reimbursement checks, but they also personally reached out to me to check on how he was doing. It really affirmed that they truly care at HP. I recommend Healthy Paws to any and everyone with furry family members. I feel secure knowing that I will be able to give my boy the very best care he deserves for his entire life. Every per owner (and pet) deserves that assurance. Thanks, Healthy Paws!!!

Terrible pet insurance
I recently filed a claim with Pets Best Insurance. They denied my claim, stating there was a 14 day grace period for injuries. My dog injured her leg approximately a week after the policy went into affect. I look at my policy that they sent me and it clearly states a 3 day grace period for injuries. I was seeking reimbursement for the pain medication prescription, which was also covered under my policy. They denied my claim. There was no disputing this claim, as the girl just kept reading me obviously a written denial letter. Nothing but a scam insurance company. They gladly accept your monthly payments, but when it's time to pay a claim, they find every excuse to get out of paying a claim. Wish I had read the Yelp Reviews on this company before purchasing insurance, they only have a 2 star rating, I wouldn't give them that much credit!!

Customers Beware!! Do not honor policy
I recently filed my first claim with this company. They denied the claim stating a 14 day grace period, which the policy clearly states a 3 day grace period for an injury!! They denied the prescription reimbursement for pain medicine. Which was also covered under the policy. There was no arguing with the lady, she just kept saying the same written message for all claims, denied!!!! I cancelled my policy with this company, obviously they want your monthly premium but find any and all excuses to not pay anything! Once again I have the policy downloaded and it clearly states a 3 day grace period!

Trupanion is a company I would highly recommend!
Trupanion is a company I would highly recommend if you are looking to insure your pet. Our beloved dog, Max was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma this past April, which is an aggressive form of incurable cancer and it has a very poor prognosis. Needless to say, we were shattered, as he is so much more than a pet. He’s part of our family. He’s been through surgery, and he is currently in treatment, along with holistic medicines and herbs which are very costly. We have been given the precious gift of more time because of Trupanion. They have covered all of the very expensive costs for his treatment and his care plan which has been thousands of dollars. Thankfully, because of Trupanion, we were never faced with the choice of saving him or not because we couldn’t afford the treatment plan recommended by our doctor. They have covered 90% of his bills, leaving us with an affordable care plan. Submitting the claims couldn’t be simpler. It’s all done online, and within a couple of weeks, the checks are back in our account. There is also an option of direct payment to your doctor as well. Customer service is top notch. They have a 24 hour a day call center, so questions can be answered any time of the day. They’re kind and sympathetic to what you’re going through, and have been extremely responsive to all of our needs. There are so many conditions that are covered in this plan. Pre-existing conditions are not covered, so be sure to insure your pet while they’re healthy and young. Trupanion has blessed us with more time with our pup. He was only 8 when diagnosed, and needless to say, we were not ready to give up on him yet. If you’re looking for an insurance company for your pet, look no further. It’s the best of the best with a human touch that is not always evident when dealing with claims. Max is doing well, and God willing he will continue on his healthy journey. We look at each day as a gift with him…a gift given to us with the help of Trupanion!
