We are a huge advocate of pet insurance and even wrote a blog post about purchasing health insurance as one of your first purchases after adopting a pet.
We are a huge advocate of pet insurance and even wrote a blog post about purchasing health insurance as one of your first purchases after adopting a pet. In the past, we have recommended Trupanion as the best option, but after many exclusions, alternative medicine options as being an add on that was never discussed even being a member for over 10 years and now our dog's newly developed hip problems due to age are considered a preexisting condition, and a premium that has increased almost 40% in a year, we can no longer recommend Trupanion and we would advise to look at other options such as Healthy Paws.

Great insurance company. Unfortunately my Ali was attacked by an Aussie Shepherd 2 years ago and there are still ill effects. However, due to great medical care and help with insurance I feel she received the best of everything.

The best pet insurance available for our precious Gus!
Gus, is doing better since his visit to the Veterinarian Ophthalmologist. He needs a surgery around his right eye that will correct the eye problem that he is having with his folds pushing his eye lashes into his eyes. This caused an ulcer on his eye. We are very fortunate, that Gus has Nationwide Pet Insurance to cover his medical expenses. Nationwide has been great and has covered and paid our out of pocket expenses, within a week to 12 days. Gus is part of the family and my husband’s best friend.
