Love MetLife Pet Insurance
We’ve been MetLife customers for years, and thankfully never needed to file a claim—until late 2024. In October, our dog experienced her first seizure, and unfortunately, she has continued to have them since. We’ve had to make multiple vet visits, which would have cost us thousands of dollars. Thanks to MetLife, we’ve been able to give our dog the best possible care without the stress of large vet bills. They even cover her CBD medication, which has been a key part of her treatment plan. The claims process has been so easy, and payments are deposited directly into our bank account, which is incredibly convenient. If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be that sometimes it takes a bit longer than expected to receive a claim decision, and the appeal process could be more clearly defined.

Great experience with MetLife Pet…
Great experience with MetLife Pet Insurance. Claims were easy to submit and representatives were very willing to help. I appreciate the service, but at this time I cannot afford the insurance rate. If the lower rate options were offered ahead of the renewal date, I might have been able to count that into my finances, but unfortunately I cannot put it into my finances now. I hope to be able to reissue my pet insurance if I come up with more funds in the future.

Support beyond expectations
My dogs and I went through a very traumatic experience. One of my dogs attacked my other dog and tried to kill her. I got bit trying to stop her and the other dog just collapsed. She was in the hospital for a week and also stopped breathing and then had heart issues. I had to have surgery myself for skin graphs. Through all of that MetLife was so supportive, they covered everything and unfortunately the dog that attacked had to be put down and they were even supportive through that. It was a heartbreaking situation but through all of it and even after they were very supportive.

I don't recommend this insurance
I don't recommend this insurance. They cover absolutely nothing. Let's do the math here. I paid vet 442.24. I got the insurance with 80 percent reimbursement. I also added dental and wellness care. I pay $162. 71 a month to Spot insurance. They reimburse me $100. If I'm paying Spot $162 then pay vet $442.24 and got $100 back why do I need this insurance???? The one I had before them were 10 times better. The reason I switched insurance was because that insurance was for one specific veterinarian office you couldn't go anywhere else so that office would always be understaffed and didn't have availability to see my babies and had to pay other outside cost. I was extremely disappointed with this insurance. So no it's not worth paying $162 every month and my dogs aren't sick thank God I feed them fresh food but they do need shots for allergy season heart worth dental and check ups. Just in case of an accident it's smart to have insurance but not this one. The other insurance the payment was about $11 more but they paid majority of the vet bills. No question asked. Spot wanted past medical records that wasn't asked when you first apply which would been more understandable. I cancelled immediately. I went to another insurance this time I'm gonna talk to an agent before getting insurance.
