Terrible customer experience, and unreliable insurer
After being Embrace customers for many years, we decided to switch to Trupanion after we adopted a new doggie. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE. Claims take 2 months to process (vs. 15 days for Embrace) and their decisions on whether to cover some issues are very inconsistent with previous experiences we've had with other insurers. When we decided to cancel, we asked them to schedule the cancellation for 12/12 (which they confirmed by email). Today we received an email saying our policy was canceled on 12/4 (today is 12/7- so it means we've been without coverage for over 3 days now without knowing). What a terrible customer service experience. Having worked with other insurers for years, I would say this is the most unprofessional provider of all and does not make us feel confident in their service. My dog deserves better. Does yours? Then you know what to do.

Macie and I love Nationwide. They make it possible for us to be able to get Macie the necessary health care she needs!
When we lost our previous Boxer, we decided to invest in health insurance for our new puppy, Macie, another Boxer. It was one of the best decisions we have made in regards to our pets ever. We opted for the wellness coverage as well as injury/illness, and Nationwide had been so easy to deal with and helped in covering our Macie's health care to a great extent!

Recommend it!
Healthy Paws has been a life saver for my family. We felt comfortable with the claim process. The whole process could be completed with my phone App. In most cases, it took us less than 2 weeks to get the money cheque. The insurances are reimbursement based, I ended up being reimbursed for more than $1200 with their unlimited lifetime claims.
