Claims handled super fast
Trupanion came through very fast for the financial cost of our companion’s final moments. Loosing our Max was very hard but I am happy we decided to have pet insurance, so that the financial burden wasn’t added to our grief.

Poor customer service
Policy is with Fetch. First time claim, policy purchased is for a $700 “Annual Deductible and a 90% reimbursement. . One claim with five invoices. I have been charged to date a deductible of $1049.88 deductible. After claim was processed I did an on line chat with Lisa to get the process for correction. Lisa was a human, she identified the error quickly. Then told me that a “reassessment form” needed to be filed which she would do and it would take 30 days. When questioned she indicated that that was the process. Thinking that that had to be incorrect I phoned, Mandy looked, identified the problem, verified that a reassessment form was completed and that it would be 30 days. Now I get mistakes happen, but 30 days to make a correction that was quickly identified by staff is unbelieveable. So they have $349.88 of my reimbursement for 30 days. So I ask myself, do they have so many errors that it takes them that long to give the customer the service they deserve.

I appreciate the communication from Fetch. From the start of the submitted claim to the end, I receive both texts and emails along the process. If they need more information, an email is sent with clear instructions. I only wish that there would be a receipt sent after each monthly payment.

Good company
I have never had any issues getting claims reviewed and paid in a timely manner. The coverage is very comprehensive and they honor the terms and provisions of the policy. Cost is a bit steep but I have a older cat, relatively healthy, but who needs more than average vet visits. I would like to see a discount for longevity and loyalty. Overall, very satisfied with ASPCA.

DO NOT GO HERE
There aren't enough words to describe how devastated and upset I am with the treatment my 7-month-old puppy received at this clinic. Because of the care she received here, she is now fighting for her life at another veterinary hospital with a severe infection. We first contacted Waverly when we noticed a hard mass developing on the side of our puppy's face and neck. They agreed to see her, but instead of allowing us to meet with the veterinarian, we were instructed to drop her off and pick her up later. We never had the opportunity to speak with the vet directly. We were told through the front desk staff that it was an infected lymph node, so we followed their instructions and treated her with antibiotics for a week. Instead of improving, the mass continued to grow and her condition worsened. When we called back, we were again told to drop her off without seeing the veterinarian ourselves. After that visit, we were informed through the front desk that she needed emergency surgery. The surgery was scheduled three days later. We did not receive any update from the veterinarian until around 7:00 p.m., even though the clinic had closed at 5:00 p.m. We were told she had a difficult surgery and needed to stay overnight. We asked whether there would be overnight staff monitoring her after such a major procedure. The veterinarian told us there was no overnight staff and commented that we wouldn't be able to afford that level of care anyway. We trusted his judgment and agreed to pick her up the next morning. Our 7-month-old puppy was left alone in a crate for approximately 13 hours immediately after surgery. Over the following week, she continued to decline. Her incision became swollen, filled with fluid, and clearly wasn't healing properly. When we called the clinic for help, the front desk informed us that we were banned from returning and that the veterinarian would no longer see us. We were given no explanation. Two days later, we took her to another veterinary hospital for a second opinion. We were told that the surgery she underwent was unnecessary because the mass was actually a salivary mucocele, which they believed could have been treated much less invasively. She developed a severe infection and has now spent the last four days in the ICU fighting for her life. Our experience has been heartbreaking. Based on what happened to our puppy, I cannot recommend this clinic. No family should have to watch their young, healthy puppy suffer like this. Do not see James Galvin, I hope the board revokes his license here soon.
