Reliable, quick, easy, reasonably priced pet insurance!
healthypaws has been nothing short of wonderful for us and our pet. The coverage is clear and not confusing, so we are able to safely estimate how much we'll get reimbursed for. The reimbursement itself is very quick and easy as a customer. The monthly charges do go up on an annual basis, but not in a way that seems out of line with the extra risk they take on with an aging pet. We'll be sure to use healthypaws in the future and for our next pet.

We started with VPI Insurance which was bought out by Nationwide. We have insured two dogs through the years. We have always found them to be very professional and willing to take the time to explain the benefits. the communication is good and payments are generally received in a timely manner.

Terrible Customer Service, Knowledge and Blatant Disregard
This company has very limited knowledge on basis of infections and how they don't relate, impact or cause other illnesses. The company claims to have you pets beat interest, but is more focus on revenue. Lastly, the customer service and appeals department has blatant disregard for people's time, money and contractual obligations.

Easy Claim, Easy Reimbursement
Really great, easy to use pet insurance. Just snap some pics of your itemized receipt and proof of payment. The claim was finalized and each item on the receipt had an explanation within a few days. The reimbursement via direct deposit was also done in only a few days!

Buying Nationwide Pet insurance is one of the smartest pet related decisions I've made. I have found the claims process very easy and convenient and the reimbursement quite fair according to the contract. Even though my dog is generally very healthy occassionaly medical needs arise, and we also have the wellness insurance which covers routine things like feel and tick protection.

Review of two claims
I filed 2 claims in the last 14 days for routine medications that I buy every month and submit claim for. Normally these get processed in 3 or 4 days. This time the first one took almost two weeks. That is unacceptable. The second one only took 3 days, Hope the first was just a glitch.

Healthy Paws allowed me to focus on my pet’s health, not the bill.
I took out pet insurance on a whim, never thinking or hoping I would actually need it. I have never had pet insurance, but from past experience I know how emergency services can add up, so after much research, I chose Healthy Paws. Unfortunately my sweet Baxter developed some problems and I cannot express how great it’s been to have Healthy Paws. The decisions I’ve had to make were easy because I knew I could actually afford to give him the best health care for a longer life and Healthy Paws has made that possible.

I am so happy to have this insurance coverage for my dog.
I had hesitated to get insurance for my dog - I had heard mixed things about pet insurance. I finally decided to take the plunge and I am so happy i did it. It allows me to make the right decisions around my pet's health without worry. Nationwide is great. They make submitting a claim super easy and they are very responsive.
