Don’t Go Without Pet INsurance
My Abyssinian was involved in a serious car accident. Two surgeries and many vet visit he is doing much better. Thank you Embrace for you outstanding service. Could have done it without you.

FAST, EFFICIENT, & CARING
I have had insurance on both my dogs. When my previous dog passed and I had to put a claim in for putting him to sleep and cremation I received a sympathy card and they cancelled his insurance without me having to call, as they knew it would be a hard time for me and I very much appreciated it. I also love getting my dogs birthday cards every year. I have never had a problem with a claim and always been reimbursed in a timely manner. The only thing close to negative I could say is the rates raise A LOT when your pet gets older. I have had insurance on since I got my dog at 8 weeks old and he is now 10 and it is 5x as much than it was. It has been worth it for me but that does make it hard on the checkbook.

I am very happy with Nationwide Pet Insurance - we have both of my dogs insured with the company. I have been with VPI/Nationwide since 2002. Filing a claim is very easy, and the pet parent receives updates when the claim has been received and processed. We have had some serious incidents and lost two of our beloved dogs (fortunately mainly due to old age) during our 18 years with the company. We have never had to make a decision about care for our animals based on cost, in part because of our pet insurance policies. We recently adopted a mixed breed, one year old male dog from a shelter and we insured him the day after we adopted him. I urge pet parents to make the investment of the monthly premium in their pet's health and wellness - they will be do glad they did when their pet needs non-routine care and they don't have to worry nearly as much about treatment cost.

Very Satisfied
I had first called Stephanie in regards to some questions I had regarding their pet insurance offer and I have to say I was very surprised with her thorough responses. I was expecting a very short half hearted responses but she was so kind and patient. She went into detail how the deductibles and claims would play out with the vet visits. I ended up getting the accidents and illness plan for my labrador, Mickey. I hope to have the same great communication with the staff in the future as well!

I have already recommended Nationwide Pet Insurance to all my friends that volunteer in pet rescue. They have been a wonderful help for this claim. My dog had a fast growing mass on his gums. The doctor removed it under anesthesia. Fortunately it is not cancer.

AKC's registration is misleading
AKC's registration is misleading. One of the first benefits that AKC mentions is 30 days of pet insurance. However, it isn't until you pay and finish your registration that they tell you that your state does not qualify. Very misleading! I called customer service to see if they can remedy this situation, and they were unable to. They say that my purchase is non-refundable. They acknowledged the frustration and misleading marketing, but they did nothing about it.
