Quick, easy, and kind assistance

We have an 11 month old puppy who has had some medical issues (allergic reaction, ear infections, food allergy) and Hartville has been wonderful. Submitting claims couldn't be any easier, they've called to check in on our puppies health, and payouts happen quickly. Thank you!

Easy & Efficient

I have had to use my ASPCA insurance 2 times in the last 8 months and it has been an easy and efficient process! My 13 month old Dogo Argentino is a handful but ASPCA insurance makes everything easier. Really glad I made the decision to go with them!

Insurance the way it should be

You never know if you have good insurance until you go to use it. I was leery to buy insurance for my dog at such an old age. My cocker spaniel and favorite canine ever - Baxter- is 13 so the premiums are higher than if he was young of course. But the fact is, he is more likely to need expensive coverage as he aged. Such was the case. He was an active little guy and a short stop of sorts when chasing a ball when younger. But he tore his cruciate ligament 4 months ago and that was my first claim. Surgery was about $6,000. My policy paid 80% of that. Seamlessly. Then Baxter developed a weakness in his back legs and began to sleep a lot and drink water excessively. After several tests they determined he has Cushing's disease. Again, ASPCA came through with nothing challenged when it came to the coverage. These were all new conditions and they paid exactly what I anticipated. Fact is, this insurance has paid for itself a million times over already. I don't have to be concerned with running up thousands and thousands of dollars - which I would in a heartbeat- to care for my little guy. I have a golden who is also aging. She is 12 and healthy but even if something comes up, I know I'm covered for the bulk of it. I couldn't give a stronger recommendation for ASPCA. They have been incredible.

Arbitraty decision of a pre-existing condition did not pay my Vet Bills and I paid a high price insurance.

I enrolled my rescued puppy with Pets Best insurance hoping to have peace of mind while learning how to be the “mother” of a dog for the first time. The dog is in good condition and happy. However, in the process of getting him neuter, the Vet fund a growth in his collar area. Initially, before the dog was insured, there was no issue with this growth, we did not even notice it was there. At that point, and after the deadline to submit claims for accidents or illness, the growth presented bleeding and needed attention before the neutering process. I decided to take care of this surgery first and sent the growth to pathology to be analyzed. Results were fine, he was cancer free and a happy puppy again. I submitted claims for surgery, pathology and medicine and Pets Best denied my claims stating that this was a pre-condition of the dog. I am paying 65 dollars every month to feel safe with my dog and after 3 months I ended up paying insurance plus Vet bills. The costs double. Therefore, I canceled my policy with Pets Best and did not have a good first insurance experience.

Great

Nationwide has been great to work with. Very easy process and good explanations of how to submit forms. Wish all insurance companies were this good!

This is the worst insurance company I've dealt so far.

I insured my dog for 8 years, ever year they increased the price and the deductible, for 4 years I didn't have any claim, once my dog had a surgery they totally changed the plan, increased the deductible 400% than the original price. They are just there to get money the moment you need it they increase everything so much that is not worth it at all.

Love the concept of pet insurance but often claims are denied

Pet insurance is a great concept but not inexpensive for the amount of coverage.

Just Do It, if you are hesitating about pet health insurance, take it from me...DO IT!

This is our first experience with a Pet Insurance Co., I'm so happy it is with HEALTHY PAWS. The unexpected surgery of our cat was handled expertly and promptly by HEALTHY PAWS! We even received an email inquiring about his recovery! Our Vet and Breeder recommended pet insurance when "Jack" was younger. So, we discussed it and thought, well o.k., then I found Healthy Paws, the rates were reasonable, so we got it. We are so grateful we bought it, I truly can recommend HEALTHY PAWS as a pet Insurance!
