AKC Helped Our Dog Survive Blue Green Algae
Our otterhound was fine Friday night. Saturday morning at 7, it was clear he was dying. We were instructed to go to the vet ER. Because of the quick actions of the vet, and quick approval by AKC Pet Insurance, our dog survived blue green algae. The incident took place over 72 hours, during which we transported him from the ER in Omaha to Kansas State Vet School. AKC Pet insurance needed to approve numerous requests for treatment. The vets told us our dog had a 5% probability of living. Thanks to the fast action of the vets we worked with and quick decisions by AKC, our dog lived! We are very glad our breeder worked with AKC and we kept the policy active.

Compassionate Insurance
I have been with healthy paws for several years now. I’ve had good experiences with customer service and filing a claim is easy due to the mobile app. You just take a picture of the bill with your phone and you’re good to go! However, what most impressed me was the customer service. My dog Emma had to have two breast tumors removed, and I received a follow up email on how she was doing. Luckily she is doing fine and the tumors were benign. You don’t see that very often with any insurances nowadays. Their genuine concern is what got me to write this review. I always recommend having pet insurance in general. I highly recommend Healthy Paws. When you don’t need to use your insurance, it’s a blessing. However, when you do, it sure alleviates the stress of having to pay for a large lump sum, alongside the worries you already have about the well-being of your beloved pet.

I love this insurance
I love this insurance. It helps out so much throughout the year. When we first got our puppy you think what could go wrong. Yeah right. Everything and at least we know we have help in treating his condition. Our dog was diagnosed with environmental allergies and requires vet visits every month for meds and every two months for follow ups. You can never imagine how much they help to save you on vet bills forget just your normal visits. I definitely would suggest you sign up with them as soon as possible

I absolutely love this insurance
I absolutely love this insurance. I remember when I first got it my husband was reluctant but when I reminded him that I would most likely tell a vet “do whatever it takes” someday and have had to say it multiple times. It was always better knowing financially I had insurance to back up some very expensive procedures to prolong my beloved pets lives. Totally worth it to me!

Terrible company
Terrible company, prices go up ~20-40% every year. Over 5 years the price of my monthly payment went up 250%. I cancelled my policy as these increases are extremely unjustified. For clarity, Trupanion prices increase at a rate which is unreasonable and took no action/ provided no explanation to address my concerns in follow-up to this comment below. I would highly recommend considering other companies. Trupanion - "We’d like the opportunity to speak to your specific policy and answer any questions you have about it. Please give us a call anytime, 24/7 at (855)210-8746."
