Great service and coverage
This is my first experience with pet insurance, and I have been grateful for and pleased with the coverage and the claims service.

Trupanion likes to compare the price increases of its competitors against their own.
Trupanion likes to compare the price increases of its competitors against their own. To say the least I wasn't to happy when I saw an over 32% increase in my monthly premium. As they mentioned when I called, they do sometimes tend to over priced their premiums and MIGHT adjust them in the future. That doesn't mean that they will actually give you the money back that they overcharged. To be fair, they did mention in their website that year over year, they analyze the overall cost of the vets in your area but, even at their worst examples, they don't mention anything above a 20% increase in premium prices. At some point, they at least must have a policy of capping the increase. They just might be taking advantage of the current COVID situation and increasing premiums based on some arbitrary "cost increase" in the vets in our area and backing into the revenue they want to generate for their upcoming year.
