What would I do without Healthy Paws Insurance!?

My dog has special needs and I don't know where I would be without Healthy Paws. I was on the fence about getting insurance after I first adopted my puppy but I'm so incredibly grateful that I did. Not only is this company affordable, but it's coverage is also so impressive. I've never filed a claim and had it processed so quickly before - Literally a reimbursement check in the mail the same week.

Bware scam artist…

I purchased pet insurance for my pet and they had NOT paid any claims apparently allergies are a pre-existing condition totally unbelievable. Many pets are being adopted during the Covid crisis and unless you have had your pet since they were born NOTHING is covered. This is the biggest SCAM artist to date. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will only steal more of your money. I bought the Wellness policy only to find out that they still will not reimburse a covered expense for teeth cleaning. Excuses, Excuses people want service not pathetic excuses. What the company does NOT tell you is that EVERYTHING is an exception and NOTHING is covered. Pitiful excuse only exemplifies the problem with this company.

Customer for 8 years, what a mistake

I can see what looks like many false and paid for reviews made on this site. In truth, this company is horrible and please please please if you care for your pet do not go with them. We have been loyal customers for 8 years with my cat. She is older and we have paid thousands to them- obviously thinking this would mean she would be protected in the case of needing expensive surgery. We were wrong. My cat desperately needs dental surgery and they have denied her claim, and her appeals on the claim made my both myself and my vet. She had received a similar surgery 5 years ago and was granted coverage (although with the high deductable and all the things they dont cover- they only ended up covering about 150$ from a $2000 surgery). This time, they claim they apparently changed the coverage last year and extractions are no longer covered. My vet, who recommended them as an insurance provider many years ago, was also very surprised at how they went about this - it was underhanded. I feel stupid because we have paid over a 100$ a month for this insurance (due to her being elderly), and wasted all that money. If we had put the same payment into a savings account instead, we would have had more than enough to cover the surgery by now. The worst part - my beautiful cat is in very bad pain and I dont have the money to cover the surgery. Trupanion doesnt care about pets, animals, or their customers, and are rather only looking to make money and profits off the health and suffering of animals. I am so angry and sad at all this. Please dont make the same mistake I did. I am telling everyone, and already after i have shared this with several vets in my area, they have agreed not to recommend this company anymore. Apologies if i am rambling, but I am total disbelief at how this has been developed. Please, avoid them at all costs.

Thank you for being such a great asset to pet owners. The service is timely and the follow through is wonderful. If you have questions the staff is easily accessible. Awful customer service received on 18 August 2020

I submitted a claim for one of the two pets covered thru this insurance. The second claim came back right away and the one I submitted first was not therefore I called to follow-up. The individual that took my call explained that it was taking longer because it was an illness claim and not a wellness claim. I advised this individual that it was a wellness visit. Then, the customer service rep advised to wait a few more weeks. A few days after, I received an email stating that the visit was not covered. I called once again and spoke with Cheryl. She explained that this was received as an illness therefore I had to appeal. I submitted the appeal however, I had another email stating that there was a change on this pet's policy. I called the insurance and was on hold for approximately 27 minutes. Then, I spoke with Reggie. I explained why I was calling and he told me not to worry about it and file the appeal. I then told him that I filed the appeal and the reason I was calling was to ask a couple of questions on an email that I received. It was obvious that he did not want to listen to what I had to say. He did not seem interested in helping me out. I asked about the email received on Monday, 17 August at 6:58 am and he said not to worry because there was nothing in the system about this email that I was referring to regarding my one pet's policy. I was explaining that I had other questions regarding the policy and as I was trying to explain what I was referring to, Reggie hung up. I am very disappointed the way this was handled. Bottom line, I tried to write this review as best as possible without going on and on. I am pleased to say that after Reggie hung up on me, I called and spoke with Maya. This lady was very professional and asked for my policy number which the previous customer service did not. Maya took the time to listen to why I was calling. At the end of the day, I do not plan on keeping my pet with this insurance. I believe that customer service is very important. I understand that we are going through some difficult times however, does that give the customer service representative a right to hung up on the customer? Hope this helps in deciding what pet insurance is best for you and your pet. Thank you.

SPOT review.

We have been choosing insurance for our toy poodle Rosie for a very long time. We decided to choose the insurance company SPOT. Compared to other insurances, this company is better andalso cheaper; has a 90% coverage: accidents, illnesses and plus the health of the puppy. We have already had two complaints about our visits to veterenary clinic and insurance covered it, we are absolutely delighted. The claims were reviewed and reimbursed in a short time! We are very glad that we have chosen this insurance!

4 days was all it took

4 days was all it took. I am a new pet owner and my baby had to go to the Vet. I was worried about the entire submitting a claim process, but it was seamless. I submitted it on a Friday by Wednesday my direct deposit came and SPOT covered more than I expected. It was seamless
