Easy claim submission process, super fast resolution
Nationwide makes claim submission super easy and fast with auto-populated forms. They’re also very clear on what documentation is needed to go along with the claim form so it’s very easy to get exactly what’s needed from my vet. And the resolution on each one was also fast, love the electronic funds transfer option too!

Idiotic coverage caps and things they don't cover
My dog has multiple issues so I'm not sure where to begin. First, when she tore her ACL and can't have surgery because she's undergoing chemo, Nationwide denied her claim for a brace, even though she will never be able to have surgery. This is insane, especially since the brace is 1/3 of the cost of surgery. Second, I don't know why her chemo isn't covered in the entire protocol. This is just also crazy. I don't have much more time with my dog because of her illness, but know that when I get my next dog, I won't be using Nationwide.

Nationwide is doing a fine job for us.
We use Nationwide because it has been there when needed. For example, when our Chihuahua, Herman, was diagnosed with pancreatitis, it turned out be a lucky thing for him. Our vet took x-rays and told us that Herman had to be treated immediately for the disease. However, x-rays revealed multiple stones that would have to be dealt with later. Our vet's office submitted a claim for the pancreatitis treatment that was processed and paid in very good time. In March of this year, Herman had the operation that removed 24 stones, Again, a claim for the operation were filed by our vet's office and paid promptly. That is what Nationwide is for and I recommend the company to my friends. We have two Chihuahuas, and we love both of them. Keeping them healthy is a priority, and we are glad Nationwide is their insurer.

I am so glad I had pet insurance for my 9 1/2 yr old German Shepherd after she tore her ACL and then had a surgical site infection. Filing claims and receiving automated payment was so convenient.
