BEST Choice in Pet Insurance
We brought our adorable 8 week old French bulldog puppy Milo home in November 2017. As a new dog owner I immediately started to research pet insurance because I was unfamiliar with it and wasn’t sure if it was worthwhile. After researching and comparing pet insurance I decided to invest in Healthy Paws. I figured better safe than sorry. Everything was fine until Milo was about 1 ½ years old and he started to have medical issues. He had his veterinarian which lead to his animal ophthalmologist and eventually his neurologist. It was finally determined the next course of medical action was to have an MRI and Spinal tap performed. Without thinking, because you will do anything for your little furry family member, we went ahead with the costly procedure just to finally rule out a neurological issue. We made this decision thinking we would have to pay for the procedure out of pocket. When I finally took a look at the coverage Healthy Paws provided for Milo’s policy, it covered 80% of the procedure minus the deductible. A good portion of the cost was covered by Healthy Paws, which was a financial relief, along with the relief of finding out Milo did not have a neurological issue. Healthy Paws customer service was very friendly and great to work with and the claim submission process was very easy and once all the required medical records were submitted it only took a couple of weeks to receive the check in the mail. I HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws if you are looking for medical coverage for your family pet.

This was the best insurance I could’ve gotten for my pet. Not only was the process easy but to get reimbursed 80% was amazing fast and easy process. I will recommend this insurance to all my friends and family already started. Thank you so much.

Very disappointed
After MUCH research I signed up for this pet insurance almost a year ago. As a single mom the price was affordable and I liked the idea of fast reimbursements (which was advertised on their website). I am very disappointed with the handling of claims. I sent an email, which have yet to get a response. I tried to call several times with no luck. I finally talked to someone that wasn't the nicest of people. She then told me that my claim might not be covered and that it will take almost 8 weeks for reimbursements, if any. Not covered? What? 8 weeks? Why? I had to scramble to come up with the money for my dog's emergency surgery, then to talk to someone that is not sympathetic or just didn't care really made me think of the false advertisements on their site. This is not what I wanted to hear or expected from this company.

Trupanion is amazing!
I have had the misfortune of having a clearly accident prone puppy, crossing all my fingers that he grows out of it at adulthood! If it weren't for Trupanion, I'd be in serious trouble. They have been there for me through the hardest of times, and I am eternally grateful.

Great company, you cannot go wrong with them.
I hoped to never use this insurance but am so happy that I got it. Bilbo was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in January of 2020 just when he turned 7. I filed the claim. Since then I have been more than pleased with the help that Trupanion has provided. They have paid every claim usually within 4 days according to the policy. The policy clearly states what will be paid and they have lived up to their contract with me. This has been a very trying 8 months but knowing that Trupanion is there to help with the financial part of Bilbos treatment has allowed me to focus on his quality of life. I will never be without pet insurance and in the future if I need insurance I will buy it from Trupanion. Great company, great customer claim service, and they conduct their business with integrity.

I have the same complaint as every one…
I have the same complaint as every one giving this company a bad rating. My deductible went from 250 to 750 from my first to my second year with the company, This is clearly a bait and switch operation and once they have you, you have you. If you try to move to another company, everything that was claimed with FIGO is considered a pre-existing condition. They can blame their underwriters all they want. The result is still the same. You made the decision to radically increase your rates in one year. Stay clear of this company. They should be ashamed of what they are doing to their customers
