somehow hard to claim

1. It is extremely hard to file claims for flea and tick treatments. I usually order those online and those are not prescription drugs so it is very hard to have my pet's name on the receipt in order to claim those charges. The only way to get reimbursed on those treatments is to order from a vet, which usually charges higher price than online stores. 2. I changed from healthy paws + wellness plan to Nationwide whole pet. I was very cautious and brought my pet to the vet whenever i felt like she was behaving a little abnormal. She was once limping for 20 minutes after she got up (her leg was probably just asleep) and she was fine afterwards. So i brought her in just to make sure my pup was doing okay. The vet put limping on the vet note and did not suggest any treatment. Nationwide counts that as pre-existing condition. There are several other cases like that which are counted as pre-existing conditions. Overall, for the price i paid, i should've just stay with healthy paws and the wellness plan instead of switching and facing all those pre-existing condition problems. Plus I heard from other pet owners that NW prices are increasing by a significant amount this year. Sorry, not very satisfied with what i get so far.....

The only complaint I have is some problems aren’t pre exciting such as allergy showing up somewhere else’s & a different diagnosis different area different symptoms. Same with Gastrointestinal giving my dogs treats for a sensitive stomach doesn’t mean they have still have gastrointestinal problem. They haven’t been diagnosed with Gastrointestinal problem for months.

Use phone pics for claim and stop duplicate premium billing

I would like to see common technology used (mobile phones with cameras) to submit claims. Also I was recently billed twice for my monthly premium. This happened in the same week and I asked customer service to correct it. Instead of reversing the duplicate charge they said they would not bill me the next month. This is not acceptable as I’m on auto monthly billing. I had to then dispute the duplicate change since it was not corrected.

Awesome

I had ASPCA pet insurance for 15 years with my two previous pets and was always satisfied and would have put our new puppy on the same insurance but my employer offered it to all 17000 employees payroll deduction and I am so happy with the claims process and your people I’ve talked to on the phone have been amazing. I am extremely pleased with Nationwide.
