I filed claims for my 2 cats on January 13 2020.

I filed claims for my 2 cats on January 13, 2020. After not hearing anything for about a month I sent an email requesting the status of our claim...no response. I let another month go by and sent another email and again, no response. Shortly after the second email I sent another email requesting status as well as stating that I was going to file a formal complaint with the NJ state department of insurance. Well we got a phone call from Beth at Trupanion on Thursday, 3/12 informing us that all of their emails to us were bouncing back. Shame on us for not updating the email address on our Trupanion account; that was our mistake. HOWEVER, they obviously had our phone number and instead of waiting almost two months to contact us perhaps a call to us after the first email was undeliverable would have been appropriate. This is the poorest customer service I've encountered in a long time. Needless to say, our claims were denied based on their standard of pre-existing conditions. To say we are disappointed with Trupanion is an understatement and I do not recommend them at all.

superb service!

I emailed the claim. You responded promptly. And I had the check in my account pronto. Couldn't ask for better service! If only human health insurance was as good!!!

A gamble

Except for one minor surgery I haven't benefitted from having this policy. My vet has convinced me that as my dog ages anything could happen. So I continue to pay over $50 a month while also paying high vet bills because the policy doesn't cover or I haven't met the deductible. Somethings not right with this picture.
