Beyond thankful to have an opportunity to have insurance on them. They mean the world to me and I cannot imagine they getting seriously hurt and my husband and I not being able to afford it. Pet insurance has helped us with yearly medications and visits; however, overall gives us the peace of mind that they will be covered if they were to get sick or hurt.

very satisfied with Nationwide. Claims can now be made online and response times are very fast. Also claim payments are electronic. For emergency situations such as dietary indiscretions the coverage is very good. For chronic diseases it is less but still there is some coverage.

Two very active Whippets
When my puppy was 8 months old she got very ill with giardia, aspirated bacteria, and a collapsed right lung. The bill came to thousands of dollars. The emergency clinic suggested pet insurance and I bought a policy through a company which was not Healthy Paws. After a healthy year for my puppy with no claims, the premium was raised by 25%. I switched to Healthy Paws at the advice of my regular vet. Since that time, I have added another dog and added him onto my policy. Both of my pups are very active Whippets and they manage to get into a lot of trouble mostly by running fast and cutting their thin skin. Healthy Paws has been wonderful at reviewing and reimbursing our claims. They keep me updated on the claims review process and during long recovery periods from my pups' serious injuries, Healthy Paws has sent me personalized enquiries as to my pups' conditions. I feel they really care about the health of my pups. In the almost six years that I have been with Healthy Paws, I have had one rate hike and their service has never disappointed. I have referred friends and they, too, have been very happy with Healthy Paws.
