Claims Taking Far Too Long
The delay in processing claims has continued to worsen over the past year or so. It is getting to the point that I’m not recouping the funds from my claims in a timely enough manner to justify continuing with the insurer. I already have to pay up front and await reimbursement, and to have to wait so long for it just adds insult to injury. Especially when I’m not asked to provide further documentation! I submit the invoice and receipt, and it apparently takes 5-6 weeks to get around to it.

The decision to insure Beauregard with Trupanion was one of the best decisions I made.
The claim process was very simple and expeditious. The settlement warded off a financial hardship and was a great comfort in knowing my precious little dog is protected from serious injury or illness. I have recommended Trupanion to friends and neighbors without reservation.

Excellent customer service with prompt claim processing and payment
Trupanion’s customer service representative was available for my 5 a.m. call following emergency pet surgery to explain clearly and in detail exactly what my policy would cover and how to file a claim. The On-line claim process was efficient. My claim was processed and reimbursement paid four days after the claim was filed and funds deposited directly to the designated bank account. Couldn’t have been easier. Wish human insurance claims were as efficient!

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. DO NOT USE. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 4 YEARS AND RECENTLY FILED A CLAIM FOR MY 16YR OLD DOG. EVERY DAY AFTER SUBMITTING A CLAIM I RECEIVED AN EMAIL INDICATING THEY NEED MY DOGS ENTIRE MEDICAL HISTORY. NUMEROUS TIMES THEY HAVE BEEN SENT HIS 16 YEAR MEDICAL HISTORY - 60 DIFFERENT PDF'S AND THEY REFUSE TO PROCESS MY CLAIM INDICATING THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE RECORDS. I HAVE HAD PHONE CONVERSATIONS SAYING THEY HAVE THE RECORDS. I AM CONTACTING THE LOCAL NEWS AUTHORITIES AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU NOW. STAY AWAY. Healthy Paws - too bad I already have been in touch NUMEROUS times with a supposed "supervisor" that did NOTHING - Rob Burns. He has all the history. I will continue my negative reviews on every possible platform until the issue is resolved. Local news authorities regarding consumer complaints have already been notified, along with the BBB.

I just got this policy yesterday. I don’t know yet what it is like to file a claim and I hope I never have to but the customer service rep was totally amazing, very nice and very professional. Follow up: We had a very tragic situation with my cat that was covered under this policy. His diagnostic alone were $5000. We were reimbursed for every one of our claims within a week without any hassle. Sadly my cat didn’t make it. But grateful that everything was covered and prudent pet didn’t make the process difficult
