Everything is great except the increased price
I have had Nationwide Pet Ins. (formerly VPI) on all of my dogs for the past 15 years and have always been pleased until 2020 when my premium increased by $60.00 a month. As a single female, senior citizen, it actually pushed me out of my budget range of affordability. There are SO many pet ins. companies out there begging for business who have customized plans. The only reason I didn’t switch is that my pup is 11 years old, has been covered by Nationwide since Day 1 and didn’t want the hassle of starting with a new company so far into this relationship. However, with my next rescue pups, will go elsewhere as cannot afford NW. Their max amounts paid per diagnosis are fairly low in comparison to some of the other pet ins. companies.

Get NationWide!
I couldnt be happier with my coverage. My dog is sick and to know that my pet insurance is there when I need it takes all the stress away. It is so easy to submit a claim using the mobile app and the reimbursement is timely and right to my bank account. Thank you Nationwide.

I should've had Nationwide all along
I should've bought this insurance when she was a puppy. It makes doing the right thing with her healthcare easy and painless. The app for claims is fast, I do it in the car before I leave the vet. Better than all expectation.

On my side
How did I live without pet insurance before I found you? I have so much peace of mind knowing that whatever happens to my three darling dogs, I’ll be able to get them the care they need with Nationwide. The people are always so quick, considerate and friendly. They ask about my dogs and are clearly pet lovers themselves. Thank you Nationwide.

Having two labs, I am happy I have Nationwide Insurance for them.
I think purchasing insurance for my labs was the best investment. While the deductibles can be a bit high, overall I've been satisfied with the service of Nationwide for my dogs and the bills that they have covered. I think in the long run it's totally worth it. Customer Services is great, turn around time on claims is awesome.

Easy, Efficient, Quick Reimbursement
When my dog needed emergency surgery I was able to upload images of the vet invoices online, they made it super easy. After submitting the invoices they were quick to respond and I got my reimbursement within 2-3 weeks of filing. There was no disputing or push back, they were on top of it.

Great company
Great company. They are who you need, when your pet is sick. Our dog had to have a blockage removed from lower intestine! Surgery went well, and putting in a claim to Healthy was really simple. They communicate well to keep you updated, with claim status. Check was sent out really fast, and went straight back unto savings! Could not recommend them highly enough! Dave

Unreasonably low reimbursement rates
The claim filing process is simple, but the reimbursement is substantially lower than it should be. Not sure it's worth the annual premium.
