Trupanion covered $7900 of my $8300 vet bill when my kitten swallowed a foreign object that could have killed him. I don't know what I would have done without this coverage. Thank you!

Trupanion has kept our pet family together...
We have three pets and without Trupanion’s coverage when confronted with major health issues (eg one cat developing diabetes), we would have had to make some difficult decisions and our pet family wouldn’t be what it is today. Thankfully through everything, Trupanion has been there by our side, responding quickly and keeping our family together.

I signed up for VPI when Lucky was 6 months old. He is now 12. Overall, I’ve been delighted to partner with what is now Nationwide. The customer service reps I’ve dealt with are highly experienced professionals who truly are “animal” people. Whenever I hear that friends have just gotten either a dog or cat, my first response is “don’t forget pet insurance” and I do recommend Nationwide. (BTZW: I answered “no” to the question about helpfulness because I respected the advice of the person that told me about VPI).

A worthwhile investment
I'm so grateful for making the investment in pet insurance when I did. When my young, healthy dog unexpectedly got a case of pneumonia, it was such a relief to not worry about the expense and just care for her well being. It was easy to file a claim, and the claim was processed and resolved within a couple weeks.
