The people that I worked with were very nice, patient and tried to be helpful. I adopted my dog from a shelter. The sheltered neutered on Monday. I took dog home on Tuesday. The shelter provided me an offer from TRUPANION for a 30 day free trial if I signed on within 24 hours of adoption, which I did. Then the dog had a medical complication because of the surgery. even though I only owned the dog 4 days, TRUPANION, refused to cover the expense or meet half way, because The procedure happened 48 hours prior to the policy being active. I sort of get it but then I don't because the promo was provided by the shelter. Why combine a promo with a shelter, if you won't cover any complications, knowing that there is potential of illness in shelter adopted pets? Like I said, the people that denied the claim were at least polite about it.
