These guys give insurance a good name
I'm really overjoyed with Trupanion. That's saying quite a lot given that I really dislike most insurance of all kinds and have very low expectations from them. Trupanion is what insurance is supposed to be. They're extremely quick with the turnaround, their site and policies are straight-forward, easy to understand, and not big on the omission by fine print. I like that when I call them to ask questions, they are very friendly and warm, and they really understand that when you're calling it's not because you're happy; it's because your pet has an illness and you're hoping it won't bankrupt you. Their bedside manner makes all the difference. What they cover and what they don't is plainly laid out, and what they say they're going to do they actually do. Their claims process is excellent! They need to have a look at which browsers work better (IE good, Chrome not so much) and a glitch in the upload process (can't attach but can drag and drop), and the mobile uploading doesn't work for me, which is why i gave the claim rating an 8. But other than that, it's pretty much amazing!

Excellent service
I’m so glad I have this insurance with Healthy paws. I wasn’t sure it was a good idea since I had a puppy and very healthy but who knew she would get hit by a motorcycle right in front of our vehicle. Her hip was pulled out of socket and tendons blown. She is doing good but the recovery time is long. Thank goodness we had this insurance/ with bills over $3000 and in pandemic - all finances are so tight. Getting the reimbursed check today was a huge blessing .

Very Customer Oriented
Claims are very easy to file as they do not really require any special paperwork--what the vet gives you has sufficed. Filing is easy also as it can be by fax or e-mail. Decisions are accurate and timely, and payment is through direct deposit. All in all, a lot of thought has gone into how to make pet insurance user friendly.
