it's gotten so much easier to claim!
I have a 14 year old Maltese who's gum/teeth issues have gotten pretty bad, among other things that have come up with his age. Although they didn't cover the extractions and treatment due to considering it 'pre-existing' condition, they covered a good amount of the bill - blood work, lab tests, and some of the medication for the infections he had. Nationwide has become a blessing to us, since I signed up right before he started having more serious issues, it's saved me a lot of money and given me more freedom to make sure my doggy lives a healthy life.

Great to have had Pet Insurance
Our 8 year old Pug has started to get sick. It appears that he has Intestinal Lymphoma. I'm grateful that I've had Nationwide Pet insurance as they have helped defer quite a bit of the cost of the tests and treatments so far.

The staff is great always there for you and Remington if it wasn't for Nation wide Insurance I would have to have put my fur baby down months ago thank God he is still with us as we are just taking it one day at time as he has 3 types of cancer but thanks to nation wide insurance hes able to be with us a little longer . ASPCA outranks previous pet insurance I’ve had by a landslide.
I’ve had VPI/Nationwide for 17 years with our llaso mix. It was always a hassle processing claims.....and then they wound up not covering legit claims. I support ASPCA during the year...so why not go with their name on the insurance. Our first claim with our new rescue was so sudden and lasted a week. The bills added up quickly. Finally we got our Genny better and I waited awhile to fax the claim. Within a few weeks, the covered claim was direct deposited into my checking account. Very satisfied.

Best and most honest insurance out…
Best and most honest insurance out there by far! I didn't have 1, but 2 huge claims of approximately $4000.00 each. I paid just one $500.00 deductible and they paid 90% of both bills. If it wasn't for Prudent Pet who also worked with the Hospital and paid the first amount almost immediately, then supplied an approval on an estimated second bill, Ace, my 10 month old Carne Corso would not be with us today. Thank God for Prudent Pet, they get double 5 stars or a perfect 10!!!!

Beware of "pre-existing" conditions!
Well, I haven't had the opportunity to embrace Embrace. They decided that, because my cat had had a tooth pulled many years ago, under a different pet insurance, that his dental is a pre-existing condition and they will not cover anything related to dental. IF I have his teeth cleaned (at my expense) the exclusion is removed, and then they will cover a broken tooth. However, they will not cover the broken tooth extraction during the teeth cleaning, so I would have to put my cat under anesthesia a second time for extraction. VERY disappointing.
