Highly Recommend
I chose Healthy Paws because of the flexibility in choosing the deductible and coverages, as well as the great reviews. I have had to make two claims thus far for my dog. Submitting the claim could not be easier. (All online as well). Since they had all my dog’s medical history up to date, the second claim was submitted, processed, and paid within 2 business days. I appreciate the follow-up emails as well checking up on her health. I am happy I chose them and highly recommend.

Healthy Paws has saved us!
Healthy Paws has saved us so many times. We had it for about 9 years with our dachshund who had a handful of accidents (chocolate, allergic reaction, IBD, and ultimately heart failure) The policy took care of us right up until the end and it was incredible peace of mind to never have to worry about the cost of her care. Whatever she needed, we did. They were quick to process claims and send out checks. So, when we rescued a new puppy, we got healthy paws right away. It has already helped us tremendously with unexpected issues. I tell all my friends with pets to strongly consider healthy paws!! I worked in reception at a veterinary hospital for 4 years and saw the bills that piled up for dogs and cats having accidents, needing hospitalization, or long term management of a newly diagnosed issue. I think a lot of people mistakenly thought pet insurance in general was a scam but it definitely isn’t and Healthy Paws is #1 far as we are concerned. Even with my discount at the vet i worked at, I still had Healthy Paws.

Claim for TPLO SURGERY [ ACL TEAR IN LAYMEN TERMS ]
The policy is reasonable and the representatives are easy to reach and knowledgeable. The coverage is good and like everything their are some anomalies that can cause you grief but overall the insurance is peace of mind and covers a good portion of your expense. The paper process is not overly clumsy and nothing you wouldn’t expect from any reputable firm.

Smooth and puts our mind at ease
We are so thankful for Healthy Paws. We have all 3 of our pups insured. One of our dogs has had two torn Acls in the past 1.5 years, which is so stressful and worrisome but we never worried about if we could afford proper treatment. Healthy paws did not hassle us and paid for physical therapy for months after. We so appreciate it!

Premiums increase w/age
My main issue with Embrace is the fact that they increase policy premiums anywhere from 20-35% almost every year. Why every year? Because each year your dog ages, they can (and do) increase the premiums. they will claim the reason is because older pets, like people, tend to get sick more and cost more money for care. however, my premium doesn't go up each year. so i find their reasons a ridiculous logical circle. I also don't remember reading anything about that before i signed up with them. i know premiums can and will go up but 20-35% annually because my dog gets older each year is ridiculous. that means it may start low when you first sign up but if you have them for 5 years you can expect at least a 100% increase in your premiums. that's insane! and robbery in my opinion. i had them for one year and am looking to switch before my plan renews next month. don't like the hidden fact about the annual age increase. although i will give them credit for answering my questions about it pretty honest and directly once i learned about it. i have two dogs and a cat insured by them.

Lost finished quote
I made a new quote and my payment went through but, it's gone and I don't have access. I was on thank you page, received an email for my payment. On the Thank you page I was trying to sign up as a member but, but it would not work, so I refreshed the page. Refreshing the page removed all that information and took me to a checkout page. I already finished my quote but, it's gone now? This is frustrating, I spent 20 minutes trying to get back to the page, but it still takes me to the checkout page. Edit: After reaching out, I successfully got the account set up. Great support team

Very happy with Healthy Paws
Healthy Paws is a great company. I decided on their top tier insurance policy and the coverage has been life and money saving. My lil love Tobey has had tumors develop on his precious paws which needed removal. Thankfully, they were benign. The procedures were quite expensive and healthy paws covered the majority of the cost each time. They do any time an emergency or problem develops. Whenever anything occurs with Tobey I know he'll get the best care from his vet and that I'll get the best care from Healthy Paws. They even checked up on him by emailing me to make sure he was doing well. They're customer service is fabulous and I feel good knowing that they donate money to animal non-profits. I definitely recommend Healthy Paws for your pet insurance provider.

It took a while
It took a while, and after deductible, items not covered and a co-pay, I got about 2/3 back. I set reimbursement at 90%. Apparently they don't cover prescription food, even while in the hospital.
