Easy claims process, fair decisions and clearly documented information about coverage eligibility. Occasionally it can take a bit longer to get escalated responses/troubleshooting done, but staff is helpful and does get everything addressed eventually. I have worked with other pet insurance companies previously and even with the occasional delay in response time Trupanion is light years ahead in ease of use, clarity of policies and timely reimbursement.

Not happy with customer service
Unable to talk to a person and was not able to find the answer to my question on the website or my account. I waited on hold for almost an hour--that's a little absurd. There was no way to email a question either!!!

Thank you Healthy Paws!
When I brought my puppy home, I hesitated at the need for pet insurance. Thankfully, I listened to a coworker who attested to the service that Healthy Paws provides. When my little fur guy was only 8 months old he exhibited some lameness in his leg. It has been a long road to get him the right diagnosis and treatment and Healthy Paws allowed me to focus on the best care without the stress of the financial burden. They have processed claims quickly - almost always within 48 hours - have followed up to check on him, and been there every step of the way. I'm so very grateful for the care and compassion they provide to keep my pup happy and healthy.

I don't know what we'd do without Healthy Paws!
My 8 month old puppy began experiencing lameness that was misdiagnosed. It took expensive diagnostic testing to get to the bottom of it and him on the road to recovery. Healthy Paws has been right there every step of the way - processing claims quickly, communicating on status and showing the utmost care and compassion for my pup. The best decision that I made is selecting Healthy Paws for my pet! I can't say enough about their amazing service.

Best Decision We've Ever Made
This review is frankly long overdue. Healthy Paws is, and continues to be, the best decision we've ever made for pet insurance. We have a French bulldog named Toast that has had a myriad of health problems over the 5 years that we've had her - from needing eye surgery to multiple bouts of hospitalization for pneumonia and other lung related issues. It has been the best peace of mind to have Healthy Paws have our backs in every way - I haven't had to worry about expensive procedures or medicines because Healthy Paws has had my back for 5+ years. Instead of focusing on the cost, I can instead focus on my sweet girl. The claims are always processed quickly, and the customer service agents email to check in and have sent cards over the years! Would highly recommend Healthy Paws for pet insurance and peace of mind for your life. Well worth the cost!

Pet Best has poor customer service because they deny claims then do not take calls or chats to explain.
Once policy is purchased and a claim eventually filed they deny it then you cannot reach them by phone or chat to see why the claim was denied.

Years ago, I learned the value of having pet insurance when my first German Shepherd had a reaction to an antibiotic that almost killed him. With my latest dog, we decided to switch to Healthy Paws because of the simplicity of filing claims, and its straightforward reimbursement process. From the beginning, our experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing -- especially when our dog became very ill with an autoimmune disease that required expensive diagnostics and medications. There was no pushback whatsoever, no repeated requests for additional documentation, and no questions about his treatment. I cannot say enough about this company, or its people. It has been five star all the way, and our dog is back to himself. Thank you Healthy Paws!

I have a 2 YO that had to have…
I have a 2 YO that had to have emergency surgery and cost me over $8000. I sent in my claim and was sent a refund within 3 days at my 80%. I am so blessed to have this coverage which during these times is so important. Thank you Healthy Paws!
