Nationwide Pet Insurance is unbelievably good, in coverage, claims, and speed.
I continue to be amazed with the amount of coverage offered, the ease of filing a claim, and the efficiency with which the claim is evaluated and paid. Pet insurance is never inexpensive, but I think Nationwide provides the greatest dollar value for Pet Insurance.

Not happy
My French Bulldog ripped her vulva from repeated scooting. She has allergies. She scratches everything & gets yeast in places! The vet suggested cutting back the wrinkles and skin folds to alleviate moisture and yeast. Nationwide decided her wrinkles are a congenital Defect and refused to pay for the surgery. I could not afford it but had to have it done for the sake If my dog! Nationwide will find a way to twist the symptoms so they fit in the fine print of a congenital defect to avoid paying for surgery. I just got a new puppy and am shopping around for a different insurance company for her. That really sucks.

GREATEST PET INSURANCE EVER ! !
When my wife ( Linda ) picked up our Yellow Lab Puppy (Sandi)up out of a litter, I knew that our New Family Member was going to need protection before she can protect us. We did our Pet Insurance Research and found that Nationwide by far have the Best Coverage available for our price range. We love the fact that the Wellness Coverage was a Bonus, including the Unforeseen Emergency Situations . The filing of Claims & Response by Nationwide had far exceeded my expectations. So, when our son got Two Chocolate Labs for our Grand-kids , I consulted him into purchasing the Nationwide Insurance for Tobie & Coco . Sandi is Three Years old and two leg surgeries later, her attitude has never changed from that puppy from the basket.. Thank You Nationwide ! Todd & Linda Las Vegas , NV

Very easy process
I am grateful for Nationwide pet insurance. Took my dog to the vet twice this month for illness, and it was not cheap! I love that I can file my claim by just taking a quick pic on my phone and answering a few questions. Very simple and the claim was paid within a week! Very quick and simple!!

Bulldogs LOVE Nationwide!
I've had Nationwide now for almost a year. My Victorian Bulldogs have My Pet Protection+Wellness. Not only does Nationwide make it easy to submit claims (through mobile app or desktop), but they also process the claim quickly! Most claims are paid and in my account within the same week of seeing the vet. Highly recommended!

I got full coverage which includes well checkups , most comprehensive for a reasonable monthly fee. I’ve submitted a couple of claims which have been easy to file and paid into my account very quickly. I’m Recommending it to all my friends and relatives.

Choose Another Insurance Provider
Nothing but a bad experience! They will grasp at straws to not pay out a claim. Firstly, the agents you talk to have no idea why a claim would be denied (but you cannot speak to an Appeals Specialist for some reason). Once you finally get an answer to what info they need to put through an appeal they change what info is needed. I was basically brought to tears near the end of a week long battle because my vet would email them asking what info they needed and they would not respond. When I would call they pinned it on my vet not providing information... WHAT INFORMATION? Even there own agents don't know what info they need to approve/appeal a claim. Long story short: my dog had pre-existing skin problems he needed antibiotics, no worries, I follow the rules. I never submitted those invoices. During the 30 day wait period he went in for puppy vaccines and the vet inquired about his stool. I said it was a bit soft and she said it was due to vaccine. Fast forward 9 months later I submit vomiting and diarrhea claims in and they are all denied. Every time I proved to Trupanion that the trips after the 30 days were not related they came up with new wild goose chase. They are not helpful, each agent with give you different information. My vet was even baffled after he called in to find out how to solve this. There are no exact guidelines and everything is a grey area. Good Luck! I filed an appeal and cancelled my insurance and am now saving monthly on my own for an emergency.. I also filed a complaint with the BBB.

So easy!
Submitting claims was so easy! I either took a picture on my phone or scanned in the receipt from the vet, and in 2 days, I got confirmation. And once I met the deductible, the reimbursement check only took a few days to arrive.
