Not worth it so far
It's just really difficult to understand how a claim will be viewed and what little I'll get back. I adopted a dog with more issues than I realized, but was hopeful the insurance would cover more. I have not come close to getting 90% on any claim I've filed, and it seems that if I don't word something 'œjust right' it gets labeled as a new condition when it's really the same issues.

A bit disappointed.
I'm disappointed that by proactively obtaining insurance for a rescue animal, who came to me with an issue that I considered needing attention by a veterinarian, I now am unable to have any of the following treatment any similar condition to that reimbursed. "Itching" could cover a myriad of conditions and not be the same condition that the animal was initially seen for. So, any new itching, scratching or allergy is not reimbursable, which I find a little extreme, given that dogs scratch. I now wonder if having pet insurance that does not cover any new incident or coverage of a following similar incident is worth it at all. I obtained my animal from a rescue on 12/1/19. I proactively obtained your insurance policy. I scheduled an exam for him the following week because he had not previously been on flea/tick/heartworm preventative medicine, and had a couple irritated spots I thought should be looked at. Given the probationary period of this policy, I should have waited another 30 days to bring him to be seen, and let him scratch, so as to have that incident covered and any future incidents of scratching be covered. I've had several animals and this was the first I obtained insurance for. My other pets have lived between 11-16 years with (thankfully) no major expenses. I'm wondering now if that's the route I should have taken with this one, as so far, nothing has been reimbursed.
