I only gave it a 4 star because I have just signed with Prudent. I like the service I rec'd and out of all the pet Ins. I researched on Prudent was the only one that reached out to me. I searched the top 10 and Prudent was #4. Monica is awesome and takes the time to explain and answer any questions you may have.

Trupanion is almost a 1st Responder!
My claims experience was very positive. Trupanion was responsive and swift in communications. Alerting me to their first receipt of my communication, then to the opening of my claims, and alerting me when the claim was complete and directing me to my account on the web for more details. When they did not have enough info, they alerted me quickly, and responded when I sent in more info as required. Payments were in my bank account very quickly after the claims were processed.

I have only had one hurdle in my 9 years enrolled with Trupanion and this was solved over several weeks. Any interactions I have had with the staff of Trupanion has been respectful and caring. They really care about the animals. Be sure to sign up with them the second you bring your dog home!
